Very powerful and meaningful end of video message. I've done a complete 180. I just recently graduated with my B.A. in Chemistry in aspiration of becoming a doctor. After working in the healthcare field for about half a year now, I've come to the conclusion becoming a doctor is no longer what I want to do. Feeling lost and doubtful of whether or not pursuing a full-time career trading is the right decision, it's something I have fallen in love with over the past year and a half. I have lost lots of money following TikTok furus, and just recently, started to properly educate myself in becoming a discipled independent trader. One day, I will have enough money to become a member of your group and show my support for all the exceptional material you have produced. Forever grateful, thank you Jared!

On the first trade, the "gap and go", it was basic trading 101...... it gaped up and immediately came down to fill the gap and took off. Buy the gap fill. Simple

Thanks Jared! After taking PTS and watching your videos, the headline, "Why you shouldn't take out a 27K loan to buy stocks" made me say, "What an idiot!" before hearing anything else.

Fun fact on the "Where did it come from"-point (around minute 38): Got into RUN today (08.09.22) on 5 minute 3BP (Spoiler: actually it wasn't) and got stopped out on the pullback. Taking my LL on this I saw, that my wanny-be 3BP wasn't actually starting a new move but was just part of the already existing trend. And this happend despite I saw your last video on why after 7 bars up a 3BP isnt really a good play. Also getting back into it after the pullback was a valid option. But while I still under PTD-rule I hold back to have room for further moves. Keep up the good work and thanks for the hint to not take booze on ocasion where you wan't to spent money on real investments. Greetings from Germany, BA PS: While I get the intention of the PTD-rule to get people away from gambling on live savings for people who actualy know what they are risking it is really frustrating because it adds a serious factor to an already challenging task.

Might be bad style to reply to the own thread but I dont care. Two important points that I got from - not sure where - but for me they work that I in mind add to your 7-rules slides are: When in doubt - stay out. And: the market can behave irrational longer than you are solvent.

What broker you are on ? Interactive Brokers for European Clients got rid of the PDT Rule. I can trade as many trades as I want and would be under PDT usually. Was not always like this. Maybe since a year they changed this. Also from Germany here BR

@@trading_independence no PDT you say..... and that is for an account under $25k...? I'm in canada with ibkr and i think it's still in effect here ...

Hey i got a question for jared: Do you ever trade 3bar play make a run for it before the middle bar is finished forming. Example: i was looking looing at a very nice 3bar play forming on a 5min chart today, right trough resitence, had broken the last low in a clear downtrend. First there was a wide range bar, then there was short range bar forming, thing is. it WAS short for 4 min and 30 sek, then i broke an ran. had the price just hung out for 30 more seconds it would be a perfect 3bar but price broke 30 sec early. Do you ever trade that type of thing?

what pre market scanner for gappers do you use? I start playing range daily charts (consolidation ones) because I cant get a scanner that tracks gappers. TD basically says screw you until 930am. I want to see it in the pre market so i can compile a list of tickers to trade.
