Ooh, this one really looks like a tough one! I usually separate pieces because I want the fun of assembling the whole thing myself - but if it looks like a hard puzzle, I will happily leave them together and take it as a little gift.

Good rule of thumb! My rule is: If I’m redoing a puzzle that’s been done before I always separate.

Well done for completing it. 👏 Yes, that puzzle was a lot harder than it looks! I too found that I had sections too far apart and had to bring them in. It also took me a while to work out what was going on with the outside. Shaped puzzles aren't ones that I normally do but it was for the BOTYP so I had a go. 🧩 Took me 9 hours 30 minutes with lots of stops in between. 💦Any shaped puzzles I decide to do in future will be done at a very leisurely pace, over several days most likely. Hopefully the next BOTYP in January will not be a shaped one! Look forward to your next video.

I tried a shaped puzzle. Was it ever a wreck in a day 😠. I’m better off with circle shape and the classic shape. I went to the Freeport public library and filled two huge bags of jigsaw puzzles. Stan thought otherwise but I talked him into puzzling at a local library (almost 😊). Works every time. On Sunday I am visiting my sister and adult children and Lee (my brother in-law) + Maggie (family dog). Nicole my older sister wants me to spend Christmas with everyone in the Hustus family. Even though I am her little brother, I love the ideas she has. The whole family loves jigsaw puzzles. Nicole is getting me out of group homes after being to multiple companies after 24 years being cooped up here there and everywhere. Boy, am I glad my sister will take me in where jigsaw puzzles are assembled by an entire family. By the way, I’m very happy to see you get that shaped jigsaw puzzle done :-) . Such a pretty puzzle. You made it looks easy! Missing puzzle piece was a downer. Does the manufacturer reimburse? I separate the pieces.
