I would add 13 Sentinels, Nier Automata, Mario Maker 2, Ori 1, Ori 2, Fire Emblem 3 houses, Rayman Legends, DKC Tropical Freeze, Sonic Mania and Portal Collection. I would not play Witcher 3 and Doom Eternal at Switch. I don't think Switch versions are good representations of those games. They are just functional.

@@alibabaschultz352 eh. Paper Mario, Metroid prime 1 +2. Never played them but Pikmen 1 +2, best Mario kart until 8 which is a Wii U game... Sunshine > Odyssey IMO but maybe not Wonder? Idk I haven't played it yet. Animal crossing crosses out animal crossing and TP and WW are roughly equal if not slightly less than BOTW and TOTK but unlike BOTW TP is arguably better on the older hardware than it was on Wii. Which is a W for the Switch but not as much as it is for the GC. I much prefer the switch and didn't even have a GC growing up but most if not all Nintendo's game franchises outside of Mario and Zelda really were firmly established on GC. For the sample size I think GC exclusives had a higher batting average than the Switch.

Seeing Ghost Trick randomly crop up in the middle of this list made me so happy ^_^ It's a game that's got the great and humorous character writing of Ace Attorney, fantastic animation, a wonderful art style, a toe-tapping soundtrack and most importantly... the story is short, and fast-paced and entirely gripping. I've had friends who don't usually have the patience for VNs play through this to the end and have a really good time with it. So sufficed to say... I think it's a fantastic and accessible time! I've definitely got a lot of nostalgic bias, granted: I've also played this game through on the DS, on IOS and through an emulator on Android countless times over the years before the recent remaster. With that being said htough; to anyone who's at all curious about the game, I'd definitely recommend giving the demo a whirl and see what you think :)

Good list! Definitely some stuff I would put on that list: * Towerfall - my absolute favorite multiplayer experience on the Switch. The fun and replay-ability of this game are indescribable. * Limbo - it's old, and it's on every platform imaginable, but it's my second favorite game of all time, so it deserves to be here. * Into The Breach - probably most of my actual, non-idle hours on the Switch were sunk into this game. Brilliant strategy game that is infinitely replay-able.

Even big fans of 3 houses admitted a big flaw in the game that hurts replayability (and even first playthrough): the daily stuff you almost "have" to do in the monastery, not very inspired tasks for the most part. Also it's a 31 top list, many games can't make it. For instance, DK tropical freeze is almost as good and fun as Mario bros Wonder, but is not in the list. F-Zero 99 is crazy good too, but is not in the list. Etc.

Why do so many people now consider Super Mario 3D World an “absolute classic”? I remember when it came out and got SO much hate. Most people considered it the low end of 3D Mario games, while I constantly defended it. So, why is it now a classic? I hope that’s how most people feel now. The Galaxy games are by far my favorite 3D Mario’s, but I’d put 3D World next, then Odyssey, 3D Land, 64, and Sunshine last. I just don’t get why 3D World was so looked down upon, when it released.

I actually prefer The Switcher III: Wild Hunt to the other versions. The necessary sacrifices to get it running well on Switch made for a softer presentation with environments that have almost a watercolor look to them. I prefer that to the way the other versions strive for realistic environments but don't quite get there.

By now the Switch has such a good library NL really should be doing a Top 50 or even Top 100 ranked list. Make it 2 hours long and I’d still watch it. Also get some shoot ‘em ups in there, the genre has had a massive resurgence recently and a huge number of great ‘shmups’ are available on Nintendo’s hybrid console.

tears of the kingdom performance is total whack, i feel like i'm playing a slideshow depending on the zone. Let's hope the switch 2 makes performance of older games that were more demanding a bit better. botw is my favorite because of this.

Thank you for adding pikmin 4. I usually don't play games for more than an hour but I literally finished this game 100% in 3 days. Best strategy adventure game ever

Before watching the list my top 10 (not in any particular order and going based off the 70-80 games i have on my switch) Tears of the Kingdom Breath of the wild Mario Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Mario Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Links awakening Borderlands: Legendary Collection Witcher 3 Mario 3D World Mario Kart 8 Bioshock collection Again, this is just MY top 10.

@Paul_McSeol when I bought Kingdom Battle, it was right after I got my switch, and it was the deluxe version. I was sold, simply off the concept of mario with guns. And Sparks of hope ended up being one of the bigger releases of the the year for me personally when it was coming out due to how much I liked kingdom battle.

I don't have wonder cause I didn't know the release date and bought CoD and I've only played odyssey. Didn't buy it cause I didn't like what I played so wouldn't have a reason to be on MY top 10.

Undertale, Skyrim, Enter the Gungeon, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Remake, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Dave the Diver Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps are on my personal list and not here. It’s all personal bias, but it just goes to show how deep the switch library is.

Great list, though I think Bayonetta 2 is more deserving than 3. 2 is a near perfect game with a fantastic camera, combat felt better, and played at a near locked 60fps. Graphics were also cleaner and the design was overall better. In Bayo 3, there are numerous times it looks downright ugly. Think Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Dragon Quest 11 S, and Shin Megami Tensei 5 are also worthy. Personal indie darlings of mine are: Eastward, The Wild at Heart, Sea of Stars, Untitled Goose Game, and Disco Elysium.

As someone with a 2017 Switch AND an oled switch, i still dont own mk8D. It is mainly just the fact that i am not a big Multiplayer person. Even Smash U, i onky played world of light and little else.

I was so disappointed with both Zelda games. Link's awakening was okay, but BotW and TotK were the most boring "exploration" games I've played in the genre.

I didn’t know much about Portal 2 when I got it on PS3 (years after it came out) except that everyone raved about it. I got addicted to that game and finished it, and I bought it immediately when it was ported to the Switch

My favorite Nintendo Switch games have to be Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party, Mario Party Superstars, Miitopia, Luigi's Mansion 3, Super Mario RPG, Kirby Star Allies, WWE 2K18, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe those are my favorite switch games i played on the Switch.

Partner = girlfriend/boyfriend/spose usually. Often used because "my boyfriend/girlfriend" sounds a bit childish or immature, or if you don't want to say what gender your spose is. Can also be used as in "police partner" too, but usually your "partner" is the person you're dating or married to in Britain + Australia.
