Brave soul to buy this car! I find it presumptuous to assume the car was being driven with gas in the oil, despite being otherwise neglected. The car underwent a catastrophic accident. And imho, many things are misplaced and displaced during such an event. The fuel system encountered severe pressure and may have sent gas into the intake then into the engine? I’m no expert, but in a big wreck, the integrity of everything is challenged.

I'm enjoying this series so much - that's not to say the others are any less entertaining. I've been through similar predicaments overseas [I'm S/E Asia-based] working on an '80's CBX Bol D'Or and XS11 - I ended up adapting parts from wrecked bikes or asking local fabricators to make them ! It's a steep learning curve, sure, but we know you'll do it successfully brother

All you have to do is take it to any bodyshop or automotive paint supply company and they can get their camera, scan it and get a code for you in which they'll take that code and pull the chips to see how close the match is. Even if it's not a perfect match, they have thousands of chips that they can put next to the car to find one that waaaaay closer than the paint you've got in the rattle can. Been in the collision industy for 20 years now, any good shop can do it for ya. Good luck
