From a small to large drop & purpose specific, this is our personal review & recommendation of the best lowering springs for your 2010-2014 Mustang.
Best Smaller Drop - 1.5"
SR Performance Lowering Springs (53151) - muscle.am/2mKE4MW
A perfect and affordable spring to help eliminate wheel gap. Progressive spring rate will be awesome especially if these will be on your daily driver.
Best Large Drop - 1.3" front & 2" rear
Eibach Sportline Spring Kit (47808) - muscle.am/2mKEkeS
The Sportlines will provide your Mustang with a much lower center of gravity while also eliminating rake. Similar to the SR's the Sportlines also feature a progressive spring rate.
Best Drag Springs - 1.75" front & 1" rear
Ford Performance 2013 Cobra Jet Drag Spring Kit (50411) - muscle.am/2mpsHck
These springs will provide you with the stance and performance that you're looking for when on the drag strip. The 1" drop in the rear means plenty of rake and room for a big tire!
Best Autocross Springs - 1" front & 1.25" rear

Koni adjustable struts and shocks are a good choice. If you like to corner hard .

I put Sportlines in and the rear axle measured perfectly centered, do still need an adjustable pan hard?

Eibach are they able to fit on A 2010 because the video is titled 2010-2014 but on website says no

2012 mustang gt. It is pretty wobbly on the road. Been involved in two car accidents and has 80k miles now. So I think it is time to change the stock struts and shocks. What is your best recommendation? I would like to race the car at the 1/4 mile strip. But I also want it to handle well for canyon runs and daily driving since the car is my wife's daily driver now. My daily is a 2014 evo x gsr and I miss the v8 sound and power. Question. Can I swap the automatic transmission (6r80) to a manual transmission on my car. Are there any kits? How expensive would it be?

Why is it that the SR says it fits 2005-2014 and eibach has different part numbers for 2005-2010 and 2011-2014 ?

It's recommended that you upgrade your stock shocks and struts, but not required. Lowering your car on stock suspension will give you adverse handling. I personally went with Koni sport adjustable. Rides close to stock.

It would be nice to just be able to get a rear kit.... springs.... panhard bar etc. I just want to lower my rear 1" and keep the front as is. We have 3rd world infrastructure in my area (too many potholes), so I don't wanna have my front any lower than it is.

@@donovansimison9336 ultimately you always suffer ride quality whenever you lower ur car but I had no problem with my wheel set up, I had Indy firehawks 500s as my street set up and it was good enough.

I have 20in wheels on mine, what spring would you recommend for a wheel that big without rubbing?

I had 20"s on mine for a while as well and honestly you can get away with just about any spring without rubbing as long as you have the right tire (IE- not too wide). I would recommend staying in the 1.5" drop range though for the best results. -Justin

Gursh Effect #2k I have 20x8 up front with 255/30 & 20x10 rear with 285/35. tires are toyo proxies. I'm on SR but might go with Steeda for better handling. that or adjustable coilovers so I can balance the car with me in it

I believe that is a part of the fuel venting system.

Probably be important to note you have 20" rims (which isn't stock) on half these cars. If you're running 19's guys (which would be recommended for acceleration), these will look different on your car.

I'm sorry- I stand corrected. ALL of the wheels in this video were 19"s, I just double checked. So your initial comment is technically incorrect. But I agree with you in saying we should state the wheel size in the video for future reference, so thanks for that. :) -Justin

You definitely want to check that your current wheel and tire sizes will have proper clearance when lowering your Mustang. 👍 -Zach

Mustangs aren't ricers and shouldn't be slammed. Not sure why anyone would want their tires rubbing the fenders. Engineers spend millions and years designing ride height for a reason.

Everyone has their own opinion of ride height! I love the classic muscle car stance with the back-end being higher than the front, personally. -Zach

1.3" in the front and 2" at the rear isn't slamming the car... It levels the car and is a great setup if you want to take your car to the track or curvy roads. Especially if you upgrade the rest of your suspension. And for the record. The s197 was setup with budget in mind. I have pp and it still didn't handle well until I completely upgraded the suspension. No wheel hop and planted on the curves. My biggest regret was to purchase the pp since I did a complete overhaul.
