This was a nice touch they added in the live action series. Zuko's crew was the division that he stood up for. He saved their lives. It helped show the lieutenant and all the others how lucky they were and what Zuko was really like. They owe him a lot.

Yeah the show had its flaws, but as a huge avatar fan I still enjoyed it and the new things they added
