The 4K OLED Monitor That's Always Color-Accurate | ASUS ProArt PA32DC

To have additional pixels to be able to shift the whole image without losing anything is the way forward, I think. This is the first OLED monitor I would be tempted to buy. .... if it was 5K resolution and had a gaming mode at 120Hz and half the resolution.

Micro-LED is the way forward, this thing and every other OLED is just a temporary solution. All OLEDs sooner or later experience burn-in, regardless of preventive techniques or lack thereof. QD-OLEDs are even worse in this regard. Not to mention that professional use for which PA32DC is intended means a lot of static elements on the screen while working in professional software. Buying it would be quite an idiotic thing to do.

I recently purchased this monitor and I am very impressed. But I do have a question, I was checking out the user profiles (Just to test the calibration on them) and I am noticing what looks like color banding/artifacts on them, both of them actually no matter how I calibrate it. None of the other profiles have this issue, and I've already done a calibration on the rec 709 profile which pre and post cal looks great and has no artifacts. Curious about what you think should be done, though I admit I'll basically never be using them anyway, just don't know how to feel about it.

No brightness ? No contrast ratio ? No color gamut / calibration check ? Not even a backlight bleed test ? Why is it that office / professional targeted monitors get skimpy ad reads passed off as reviews ?

@leatherhidegaming Kind of loosely , but at least any form of quality control testing . After all , it's a professional grade product , surely buyers don't want to buy something that gets defective .

@zy_cheng If you could reccomend one monitor between the PA32DC | PA32UCG which would it be? I am looking for a color accurate monitor with hardware cal, that I can use for UI software dev, I work in computer vision/satellite imagery, & looking to do more video/image editing with a capable monitor. Considerations I am aware of: Both are around the same price range. OLED I see the benefits of contrast and enjoyment of the pure darks. The Mini-led pa32ucg has a much higher peak brightness, but does this matter since the OLED PA32DCE will have good contrast. Both have similar specs for color gamuts supported, 10-bit, I know the pa32ucg is 120hz. I am looking to do color grading and more video editing. I am a computer vision & satellite image scientist so the monitor will be a big benefit for viewing imagery & color accurate ui software development.

My personal pick would be the PA32UCG - it's a more capable monitor because it can handle HDR and high refresh rates. That being said it does not have the convenience of the PA32DC's automated calibration - bit more manual labour there! One more factor I'd note however, is how much you mind the blooming artefacts on the PA32UCG. Since it uses Mini LED technology, it's bound to exhibit some amount of blooming or haloing. It's not horrible, but definitely noticeable in some instances on the UCG. If you can live with that I'd say go for it - otherwise you might be happier with the OLED PA32DC.
