It always had messed with a secondary bar, (SP in LCorp or Stagger in LoR) which it uses to instantly kill a target. I wish it was rupture, but Deathseeker, a Singular E.G.O gift, likely just has less precedent compared to how the Abnormality generally functioned.

You know what's funny about RE!Ryoshu? Since her Red Eyes and Penitence count as Charge, she's the *3rd* Charge/Bleed Identity after Rhino Meur and Rabbit Heath. All we need is one more and we can get Cheeld / Blarge as a brand new Hybrid team to rock out alongside Charupture and Bloise. The fact she's also Charge means she can be used over W-Ryoshu on a Charge Team if you want a unit that can moonlight into two Status Teams like pre-nerf Ring Sang, so that's a neat bit of role compression too. Other than that, Spider Mom is remarkably simple 'old school' Charge ID in practice, IE gaining her Charge on her 1st two skills before dumping them into her S3(-1). Heck, even Penitence acts like Charge Barrier for her! The fact she can team heal on S3 is really really awesome too, since it gives teams (especially Lust Teams) decent healing outside of EGO or Passives. All in, Ryoshu is eating well with this ID! Butterfly Yi Sang....he's great too! If at the whims of RNG and the complexity of his kit. Still, he's not complete dead weight when it comes to keeping Count going, Butterflies is an excellent Sinking variant for all fights, and he can fuel multiple EGOs of his all by himself/mostly by himself very well in a pinch. Since he *doesn't* having Sinking Deluge, however, he's suspect over Spicebush if Butterflies can't ramp that Gloom Damage high with Departed. Time will tell if Funeral Man is an upgrade over his fragrant counterpart, or if this means we'll get teams built around either variant, like what happens at times with Tremor.

Red Eyes Ryoshu having self shield and a counter works well with Contempt, Awe's Contempt of the Gaze effect, giving her 20 aggro, 7 damage down and 7 protection if she gets 7 gaze of contempt in prev turn. since you can use the counter to recover the sp drain of Contempt, Awe as well as gain shield to further increase her tankiness

Magic Bullet Outis basically has “unique ammo”, so I imagine people doubting Yi Sang would have ammo were thinking in terms of its normal mechanics rather than a unique ammo mechanic. As for Ryoshu’s unique charge, I was expecting it ever since we saw her gradually building up her aura in the reveal trailer. The only other “charge” type statuses are poise and tremor, but neither really seemed like they could be vaguely related to her EGO within the setting, so it makes sense just to create a unique charge for her to fit her “flavor”. The Solemn Lament stuff looks promising. People kept saying sinking deluge was irreplaceable, so PM gave us Butterfly which pretty much acts as mini-sinking deluges, but for the whole team, so it’s got more flexibility than Spicebush having to wait until the right time to use his S3. It also doesn’t exhaust the entire sinking stack either, though it might eat into Departed Butterfly. You could say Spicebush still has a place because it can inflict all its damage at once, but Butterfly is probably more useful in general since it maintains a sinking stack, meaning your sinking team can maintain their clash and coin power bonuses. I was thinking Red Eyes Ryoshu would mainly be placed in a bleed team, but then I realized how much she gets boosted by Lightning Rod, Charge-type Glove, and Employee Card in charge teams. The first two let Ryoshu start with 19 charge, split between her two unique charge stacks, then she gains +8 charge every turn from glove and card’s effects. The only thing Ryoshu benefits from in a bleed team is that her S2 gains more Red Eyes count. I’ll still place Red Eyes Ryoshu in my bleed team, since Bloody Mist will buff her hard anyway, but once we get enough IDs to mix up the usual status teams more, I’ll probably transfer her into my charge team instead.
