All the things Will said are completely right, but one thing that you have to understand is that the thing that makes you the best defender is going out and practicing. When you start practicing 1on1’s often you will start picking up on when and where to tackle, how to get your body behind the ball etc.

I have been playing soccer since I was a kid but never consistently put hours in at home I am now 14 and want to go pro how many hours should I practice per week?
@Goluremi Жыл бұрын
Hours aren't necessarily a sign of good training. Quality of training. Your environment and mentality play a huge role in getting to the pro level. I trained 2ice a day quite consistently at 14 and made sure to spend one training on increasing speed and strength with body weights and the other on technical sides of the game. Look to put in good hours watching and studying players you can learn from and training with older players and you'll set yourself up for success quite nicely

Im trying to be a starting defender this year, my only real problem is that im not fast, i run with my team every week, but i still feel like im slow, but idk how to get faster
@YourNOT-sigma Жыл бұрын
I used to be the slowest person I knew so earlier I tried out Track & Field soon they taught me some techniques and I started to get a little bit faster. But if you really want to be faster you need to condition every day or as much as you can you’ll start to get used to running. Finally don’t stop and commit.

@-sNiCkErS- yep, I run everyday, practice and 3.5 miles every other day, my pace is kinda slow, I still push hard at the end, and yea, My hip has been hurting to, probably from bad form, but I probably just need to up my pace more, then my body will get used to it, I also a little chubby, which doesn't help lol🤣 but I'll never stop unless I'm injured

It's your mind... believe..you can run...I am playing left back...people...do say...I am slow... which I know...but I worked..towards it and changed my mindset

@dawodubenedict3915 I'm in the same boat, I play right back😂🫶🏻 but yea, my coach is forcing me to get faster, but I'm also a little overweight so it's harder to Carry all this fat while tryna run like a cheetah😭
