In regards to how the Fatui know about Descenders and know how they are classified, bear in mind that Pierro was a Royal Mage of Khaenri’ah, and the founding member of the Fatui. He also knew of Arlecchino’s bloodline origins, and thanks to the Perinheri book we know that Khaenri’ah was well aware of Descenders even back in the time of the Crimson Moon dynasty. Him knowing about the Descenders, as well as Skirk and Surtalogi, shouldn’t be too much of a surprise since they all seem to hail from Khaenri’ah. Hell, Pierro might have even been the one to give the Tsaritsa the idea of gathering the Gnoses since he would know they were made from the remnants of the Third Descender. Who better to add to their cause besides a Descender who can literally defy and reshape the world? Though if this were true, it would be strange that the Fatui never tried recruiting the Traveler, as having not only the 3rd, but 4th Descender on their side would have dramatically increased their fighting power against both the Abyss and Celestia. And as for the Abyss Order, we need more info on them dammit! Do we really have to wait 1 year each time for Abyss Order lore? And if so, can Traveler just knock out Dainsleif and tie him to a chair so they can finally make him cough up answers lol?

I think Celestia summoned Archon to klKhaenri'ah to fight the abyss corruption and not the Khaenri'ahns. Maybe they tried to use the Abyss power but failed to do so and in turn brought destruction to their people and their land. Maybe Celestia summoned Archons to fight back the Abyss power and throw them back from Teyvat and punished Khaenri'ahns for bringing such doom which had potential to erase whole Tevyat from existence.

Both Azdaha and morax are aware of the old world and its details. he still a bundle of mysteries, in the xianyun story line, we know the Adepti, immortals, and elemental beings have a hierarchy, morax himself isn’t a elemental being but he reigns the highest on the pyramid. This is kind of getting into the theory speculation but he’s probably connected to celestia or unknown god In some way as they share too many similarities. Morax during osial quest knows about the irminsul and it’s tampering, he’s also one of Alice’s best friend.

My rational for the fatui being as high as they are, boils down to them having overwhelming stregnth, even if you take away the harbingers they still have a capable army then currently seems the best equipped at dealing with the "thralls" of the abyss. When it comes to the harbingers, while yes only 3 are said to have power rivaling the gods, that doest mean only 3 people in the fatui can match them given, the still have another god being the tsarista, who when its all said and done will wind up the only god in posession of a gnosis. Although odds are whatever plan shes cooking up will end up requiring her own gnosis as well. Regardless theres a reason theyve been the driving force of this game thus far When it comes to the hexenzirkel theres currently only 4 memebers, 2 are dead and if the other 2 exist they could very well have been humans like the other deceased ones. While those 4 are certainly formidable, I truly wonder if they are able to match the output of the entirety of the fatuus, meaning 8 harbingers, 3 of which have god strength, another god in the cryo archon, and then a royal mage in Pierro, who we still dont know what hes capable of. But given his seniority and respect amongst the ranks, must be something wild

I feel like Hexenzirkel are a bit above, I would say they are number 2 at least. But it's just my opinion. They seen to not care in the slightest about anything that happens in teyvat, and all of the ones that were introduced have powers that go beyond Teyvat. I get the feeling that they are so far above it that nothing that really happens there can affect them. They didn't participate in the war 500 years ago. Even thought it was a war that completely changed Teyvat. Nicole even thought she was involved in Fontaine's quests, she didn't care what would happen, if an entire nation were to fall, if the world of teyvat would get flooded, it wouldn't matter to her at all.

Rhinedottir is the one they call the commander of the wild beasts in CN and she created the Rift Wolves in Perinheri. Rhinedottir was responsible for creating entities that brought cataclysms and had powerful that rivals gods so honestly, maybe Gold is above the archons. Alice her story speaks for itself and Nicole and Barbeloth are visionaries. I think they will be part of Genshin's endgame not the fraudulent dragons that people suspect. 🗿

The archons have the weird position of not being a faction at all. They are seven individual who rule their nations separatedly with minimal support to each other. Also, two of them are retired old men, another quit the job to persue her pasion for theater, the other one is a hikikomori, another is probably traped in a cicle of death and rebirth and the yougest just scaped prision while the last one formed an actual faction of her own. The era of the archons is gone, their roll in the story is precisely herald the birth of a new age where the traveler ascends as the new power over a new celestia.

In my opinion it's wrong to take Archons as a united faction like the Fatui or the Hexenzirkle, because they definitely don't work together and generally don't care about each other, at least not anymore. You'd have to remember that the only reason why the Archons' Banquet became a thing is because of Venti's eccentricities. Venti is the only thread that links them all together since he's great friends with almost everyone, Morax being his bestfriend (maybe due to the proximity of their Nations). Aside from that, the Archons never act together unless Celestia summons them. So they shouldn't be counted as a faction. Like, unless in an all out war against the Abyss, we're never gonna see Dvalin, Xiao, Miko, Arama and an Oceanid work together.

Yes, but when you actually read them you understand that they're not close to each other and don't act together as part of an organization. Nahida plans to meet them because the Irminsul tells her the Dendro Archon participated in gatherings of the 7, but Zhongli already said that these gatherings are long gone, ever since the primordial 7 started dying and get replaced. Meaning whatever bond the 7 had with each other, they actually don't have it anymore. Furthermore, they don't even care to help each other out with their problems. The only time an Archom was ready to wage war for another one was when Barbatos came to Liyue in a hurry and unannounced to drink wine, and Morax thought Mondstadt was in deep danger. Aside from that, there's no mention of an Archon reaching to the other one for help or to inquire about what was going on, even when the situations where more than obviously dire (a dragon - Ursa the drake - terrorizing Mondstadt right when Morax could certainly feel Barbatos was asleep; the land of Thunder closing all of its borders without prior notice and no explanation; literally no one checking on the newly appointed Dendro Archon even though they heard no words from her ever since her Ascension, for 500 years!). They have the same role as leaders and protectors of Humanity, but they sure don't work together. It's even a fact that the Traveler is actually the one giving news about what Archons are up to to other Archons, where Childe, Scara, Lynette, etc, were already telling us about Arlecchino when we knew nothing about her. Before that, all we get is very generic info that absolutely everyone knows from hearsay (for example Zhongli and Nahida hints about Ei and Furina), but nothing more personal like "Baal (since it's who Zhongli also believed she was back then) has secluded herself into her consciousness realm" or "Don't be too harsh on Foçalors when you meet her, she's really not that bratty when you get to know her".

Tbf with Celestia, there's a distinction made between stuff imposed by the Heavenly Principles and the natural Order of the World in Teyvat; the first are usually referred as Laws and the latter as the Natural Order or similar. Erosion is defined as part of the natural order of Teyvat, meaning that it may be a result of the Heavenly Principles losing their grip on Teyvat's Natural Order (the natural and primordial laws that the Sovereigns want to bring back).

I'm confused. If Zhongli doesn't remember Rukka. Why would the line say only two of the seven original are still in power? Nahida (with help) overthrew the sages AND erased Rukka from the tree. That would mean she is now IN power of Sumeru; meaning that three of the "original" archons would be in power. She IS the current archon in power like Zhongli and Venti. Doesn't that mean he still knows she not the original? Is it possible that his memories are only partially affected? Like he knows she not the original but doesn't know/remember why. Wouldn't he have said that three of the original still exist? So sorry if this is confusing.

The Archons are not a faction. Zhongli, if he had to fight, would fight along with the remains of his once formidable army of Adepti and enhanced humans. Similarly Ei, if she had to fight, would fight with her own nations resources. The Archons simply do not co-operate except (historically) as pawns of Celestia -- maybe -- and I say maybe because that whole story of them being summoned to Khaenri'ah seems really suspicious. I also don't think the Hexenzirkle is a faction. They don't appear to particularly co-operate or fight together or make war on anyone or involve themselves in politics. Yes there was a dumb throwaway line about a war with Venti that never happened in the end. Their top ranked member Alice is somehow given a job by some other entity. The Sovereigns are also not a faction functionally. I guess they might be counted as one since at least in the far FAR distant past they did operate as a unified force, but those days are long gone. Apep even says some have gone over to the enemy. The Abyss Order don't exactly appear to represent the Abyss (per Jakob). Instead they may end up part of the 4th Descnders faction - since they are run by their sibling. At any rate since you're discussing strengths at end game obviously 4th Descender is number 1 since we already know they win. I mean based on plot armor alone they are invincible. Is the 1st Descender's faction number 2? yeah probably. Even damaged it's an Ark-god after all. The 2nd Descender faction, which seems to be Surtalogi's group right now, and not the Abyss Order -- as witness Skirk's actual ability to manipulate forbidden knowledge safely, while the Abyss Order seem more victims of it -- might arguably be 2nd place but certainly 3rd. And I'm not sure there's anyone else worth counting. The factions of importance are purely the Descender factions, plus the Fatui, who by their own admission are fools, and only qualify as a Descender faction through attempting to resurrect the 3rd, which we know isn't going to work (the way they think). But sure they have some powerful individuals and also represent Snezhnaya's national army. 4th place then. If I picked a 5th I'd go with Zhongli yanking his old army reservists awake again. Or Neuvillette backed by Fontainian meks, but Neuvillette just seems apathetic. I don't think it would take too much to call Zhongli and his stone statue resting army of Adepti to reconstitute and go stomping gods like in the old days. Also a shout out to Dainsleif all by himself since he seems to turn up like an old penny all the time so I've no doubt he will hang in there to the last as indicated in his own "travail" video.

Honestly thought it would be 1. Celestia 2. Dragon Sovereign 3. Hexenzirkel 4. Fatui/Abyss (Their strength mainly comes from multiple individuals + army) 5. Archons The Twins are an outlier, I mean it's safe to assume that they are probably as strong or stronger than Celestia, considering they've seen stars be born and die during it's time, they could be real gods and not like the fake ones in teyvat, they've traveled to multiple worlds and are still alive, basically all elements + abyss and prolly more. But until we see them actually do some crazy stuff they can't be counted, for all we know they're roles are just "Observers" of all, hence why they mostly appear weak compared to others, can't mess with stuff directly unless it affects them in a major way.

You know what's bad? #3, Fatui and #2, Abyss, might have disagreements, but they both plan to dismantle the world order of Teyvat. And #5, Archons, seem to be not-so-secretly cooperating with the Fatui after the falling out with Celestia during the Fall of Kaenri'ah. #4, the Hexenzircel, have unusual powers and knowledge, but they don't seem to be up to the task of saving the whole of Teyvat. At most, they can do routine maintenance on its vital systems. And #1, Celestia, have a track record of breaking almost as much as they save. According to Rene di Petrichor, Teyvat is all out of extra lives to rise back after apocalyptic destruction. Unless the Traveler somehow sorts everything out (perhaps by securing cooperation of Hexenzircel), Teyvat is doomed. Not even all the extra trees that can, theoretically, replace Irminsul when it burns down to ashes, are enough to save it. And the only force truly supporting the Traveler, is metagame considerations.
