In Nov 2019 I ordered a guitar from 10s ...I only just got it recently. Although I sent detailed pictures of what I wanted right down to separate pictures of every piece of hardware they got it wrong! Every time I sent an E to them I had to write up to 3 times before I got a reply. I had questions in the E mails and they were never answered. When I got it things were wrong. They blamed me???? I sent 2 more E mails and never got an answer. SO...unless you do not mind waiting forever, or getting stiffed out of you money then do not buy a 10s!!!

I don't remember who it was that said this, but it's stuck with me. For a long time, the largest numbers of the best and most experienced luthiers have been in the US. But with how long companies have been making guitars in Korea, Indonesia, and China now, there are bound to be some really skilled and experienced luthiers in those countries. The bottom of the line stuff is still very meh, but when you're getting the higher end from those markets, you're getting good quality from them when they use good materials and staff to build the guitars.

Especially considering how long and how very skilled asian countries are at woodworking. Add to that the fact the Chinese invented lacquer and how easy it is to build electric solid bodies, vs acoustics for example.

I own 10 guitars and have been the owner of much more. I worked for ernie ball, orange and dimarzio and went to the namm several times. My 450€ mexican strat is, by far and large, the best sounding (and looking) guitar i have ever touched. I am not even particularly a strat guy usually more into heavy metal, but this one, minute i heard it i knew i had to buy it like right now.

The truss rod cover isn’t off center. It’s a single screw cover, and he probably just didn’t tighten the screw enough after adjusting the truss rod. I have old ESP explorers that use the same design and it just happens.

10s guitars are far better than Epiphone. I've played the relic GF like what Agufish demoed a while back; it's incredible for the price and considering the fact they use nitro lacquer finishes and will customize the headstock for you, it's more like a Gibson Standard, same paint flaws and all. 😮

No. Like what was mentioned, thinner body and the cutaway is shorter and more sharpened. Nobody with even a casual eye will confuse this guitar with an Epi but that's not a bad thing.

Based on your video, I just bought a 10S GF Goldtop Relic Single Humbucker on Reverb today. Do you know if they have a 1960's slim-taper neck and jumbo-width frets? I didn't see any neck specs listed for it anywhere, not even their website. I hope it does have a slim taper and jumbo frets...

I've got pics of it in progress and the finished product on their Facebook page if you wanna search it there. (Mine was Adam Jones inspired too... Ya need to try HB Fusion II FR. Stainless steel frets, ebony fretboard, Grover tuners, pretty damn good fretwork (flawless on mine), FR-1000, satin maple neck, spoke wheel trussrod adjustment... All of that under $400 after conversion.

Thomann has a PLEK and all the stainless fret guitars get the treatment from what I've read. It's far easier/better to quality control from the distributor rather than the factory. This is why I buy HBs. Thomann usually does a great job to be sure you're getting a playable guitar OOB. These 10s guitars are nicer though and have nitro finishes. But that's not a requirement for a great playing guitar.
