Linanity was ruined by Melo. I remember that so vividly. Linsanity wasn’t just about him, but it was getting guys the ball and showing that Dantonis system (not a fan of him) was working as it got the ball to others on the perimeter and set up a high one system, which is what Dantoni had in Phoenix. Lin struggles against aggressive teams that double teamed and took away his right (the heat when they had Norris cole and lebron and wade), but that system could’ve been a foundation and blueprint for potentially new pgs to come to the team. Melo messed it up by wanting to go back to the ineffective iso Melo ball that led the knicks nowhere. And stoudamire said it was Melo, not him, who didn’t want Lin to shine. Remember, amare flourished that half year with Felton In the same system. So he would’ve been fine with Linsanity .

I think one of the big reasons why Lin didn’t succeed was that he was always the only good player on his team in high school and college. He was always the go to scorer and had the ball most of the time. Because of this, he was very uncomfortable in the NBA when he was playing off-ball. Most star players adjust to playing with other great players in college, but unfortunately for Lin, he didn’t get a single D1 scholarship offer despite being one of the best high school players in the country. And sadly, he was overlooked partly bc he was Asian. If Jeremy was white or black, I have no doubt he would’ve had a more successful NBA career.

He said himself that he didn’t think he deserved the championship.

I honestly don’t think Lin was a “one hit wonder” he showed his skill throughout his entire career, but he never, even in New York, got the chance to show his true skills

Don't let this distract you from the fact that jeremy lin got a ring before carmelo,cp3,westbrook, harden and paul george

Don't let that fact distract you from the fact that after he got the ring he cried like a emotional little bitch cause nobody wanted him in the NBA. What does it mean to have a championship ring if you only got it by being on the bench when your team won?
@01nevik5 жыл бұрын
@Unixe Lol. Kept track. I really play basketball.. I keep track of all basketball players worth tracking. Jeremy Lin had a great start let people and the NBA get in his head. From that point on I knew he was done. Now if I were a reverse racist then I guess I would choose Yao Ming over Jeremy.. Either way Jeremy lin is a burnt out scrub. Yao Ming left Standing tall and proud representing for his country and people Jeremy left crying like a bitch with a ring. No pity here. I'm 40 years old still balling no excuses here.

@Unixe Well I happen to be in the circles of pro athletes. I really know and play with pro and semi pro basketball players so..yeah. I also know that Lin will be getting paid at least Half a million less than semi pro players who never made it to the NBA with no rings...so yeah. You can be mad at the fact that I'm basically shutting down all this delusion on this comment section. There are a ton of Asian basketball players that deserve all this gas ya'll pumping into a certified basket ball lame.

Kobe not only create history in NBA, he made the colour Purple proud to be his Logo and Lakers legacy. No one could had made people that love purple that proud anymore .To me Kobe Equal Purple

Teams with great defense get wide open layups and transition threes. It’s a big reason why their player stats go up. Looking at Devin Harris’ 17ppg on a horrible team is not the same as Klay’s 20ppg. I get that stats are easy to look at and chew on, but they don’t even come close to telling the story here.

@terrohnjackson13685 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Lin had injury issues and wasn’t trusted enough to have the keys to the offense. When he was leading the offense he had the great stats he had, when the team changed the system around, his numbers dropped a bit.

Terrohn Jackson He did not have great stats ever

j k 25 pts must be something everyone does then🤷🏾♂️ even before he got hurt at the nets he was averaging 20 pts a game
@Johnkoth5 жыл бұрын
He never averaged 1 season above 18.0 PPG
@theicemangames26555 жыл бұрын
@@Johnkoth i would love to see you try to put up 18 ppg leave Lin alone
@terrohnjackson13685 жыл бұрын
j k obviously you misunderstood what I said, I said he averaged that UNTIL one of the three problems I mentioned happened. If they didn’t happen he would’ve averaged that many for the whole season, but when he was bouncing to different teams he wasn’t trusted to be the 1st option until he finally got to Brooklyn, but got hurt after the first 4 games of the season averaging 25. It’s either injury, not being given a chance, or the arrogance of other teammates(basically what happened at the knicks) that kept Lin from producing at his maximum level

Often its just when your minutes get limited, when you change the team, its not really motivating for a player when this happens. And sometimes this doesn't happen because you are a bad player but because of lacking of trust to "the new guy" in a new team. Also the systems other teams play maybe not fit to you, and with limited minutes in game its not easy to get comfortable... I feel sorry for Lin and the other guys because it's not always that you are bad player.
