Guys, read the book Always Hungry? by David Ludwig, MD. He is an endocrinologist on the obesity front. Finally, a way of eating that does not rely on the calorie. We call it a "low glycemic diet" when explaining it to others; the idea is to keep your insulin response at a lower level. He explains the science. We've lost weight and we don't miss the sugar or flour. And we're not hungry. It is truly a long term solution. I wish this book had been available 40 years ago.

I'm the only skinny person in a family of obese people--even after three children and menopause. My "secret" is raw and fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and seeds and no tap water! ❤️Get enough rest and you'll have so much energy you'll "exercise" by default. Also, staying away from negative people who make fun of your diet helps.

A suggestion for the 'self improvement' category would be using a rebounder at home, daily. It has helped me redevelop my leg muscles after developing RA in my knees and hips. No doctor told me about the benefits and how to use one safely. Thank goodness for the Internet! You could help a lot of people here!

It is possible to stay skinny/healthy weight just have to watch the portion. I see my poor husband struggle not to gain..you have to know what your body needs, not what it wants. You can eat everything, just eat small portions and a variety of foods

I'm skinny. It's simple. I don't eat snacks or junk food. I eat three balanced meals a day. Fruit and veggies too. I only eat when I'm hungry. Not when I'm bored or lonely or sad or for emotional reasons. Food tastes awful once I'm full. So do sweets.

We just had fish, snapper and dipped in egg wash and stir fried. Served with a lovely fresh lettuce salad with capsicum, boiled egg slices, carrots, celery with a apple cider vinegar dressing! Yum! My husband caught the fish with his surf casting rod at the beach. He comes from obese stock and was always a medal winning rower. But at 50 he just piled it on his stomach. He worries me as I am a tall skinny, if I gain weight my hunger goes, lose weight I get hungry, typical my family. He moves measured and when he gets showered and dressed when he takes his time it takes an hour, when he hurries (me hurrying him) he takes an hour. But I noticed after me feeding him he looks for something else when I am busy and pigs himself! He thinks I don't know hahaha! But in the end no matter how much I want him healthy and slim only he can do it!

All good secrets. Not sure if Brad should binge for a whole day. That could take 1-2 weeks to burn off the extra calories (think of all those caramel apples he could eat!). Good content. I am 6 feet and 167 lbs., eat healthy, cook ahead for 8-10 days and freeze the main things. Maybe a bit "OCD," but also much less standing with a bad back in the kitchen (an added plus)! Remember Bob -- FOCUS. Brad had to remind you to get back on topic. (Another chance for a "Why, Bob, why?"). Watch your video on focusing again maybe? ;) Good work, gentlemen.

Genetics are such a small factor, habits rule! Just a caution...tuna? The larger the fish the greater the threat if heavy meatal poisioning. I disagree with snacking. Starving with no plan is ridiculous. Intermittent fasting is fabulous and effective. Snacking is terrible for the digestion. The feeling to binge is reduced with nutritionally dense foods on a regular basis. The key is having a solid plan and a goal, and a reason: truly caring for your health. Thank you all the same.

As someone who is naturally underweight my whole life, I’m curious what you have to say. People told me I would gain weight after kids, nope, then my 30’s, nope. I eat whatever I want. I’m 5’10, 128 pounds average (I fluctuate). 1. And no, I do not plan my meals…. I just go with flow. 2. Snack when hungry, yes, I snack all day. I do not eat 3 meals a day, I just snack. And fad diets are stupid, all that matters is calories. 3. I do watch calories. 4. Binge? I eat what I want, I just watch how much, calories are everything. 5. I don’t exercise but I’m always moving. I park far, I always power walk, etc.

Snack when you're hungry? Almost everyone thinks they are hungry all the time when they are just in their normal routine. You will eat more if you wait until you are starving to eat? Almost everyone thinks they are starving when they are nowhere near starving. And with all the overweight people, who is really eating or binging when they are feeling like they are starving? They are eating way to much way too often. To be really fit and fit/muscular slim, you need to eat the most nutrient dense (micronutrient) foods most of the time, while doing the most effective weight lifting moves, in the proper position, and for the proper amount of time, with the proper resistance and process (eccentric). GBOMBS and AthleanX can get you there. Transformations can really take place. Believe it. Achieve it.

I think you guys should do some research on health at every size. This video perpetuates weight stigma in health care practitioners, you're promoting disordered eating habits that are really harmful for many people. I know you probably don't recognize what you're doing, but speaking as someone who has been harmed by this messaging over the past 20 years, and who has had to dive deep into diet culture, and disordered eating recovery, I hope you will consider my feedback. I was about to share your channel as one of my favourite things of 2018, because there is so much helpful information here, but this kind of content is harmful to me and to some of my friends. "Binge once a week" - are you kidding me? And advocating for restriction is just as bad. You're really perpetuating harmful messages in this video, and you have no science to back this up - because all the studies show that long term weight loss is unsustainable for 95% of people, and for the majority of those, weight loss attempts result in long-term gain. If you have always been skinny your secret is: you've always been skinny. There is not one long-term study that shows any intentional weight loss effort is effective over the long term - 5+ years. I even kept weight off for 7+ years through disordered eating habits such as those you're describing, and many more severe, until mid-life when all the weight came back on, plus more, no matter what I did. I developed an eating disorder trying to fix it all, which of course contributed to ill-health, not good health. Your video here contributes to the cultural idea that if you're not skinny, it's because you're not trying, you eat poorly - it's seen as a character flaw. There are many, many reasons why people aren't skinny, and as physiotherapists, you're supposed to be accepting and willing to help people in all body types. If you're interested in learning about why and how you should not harm your patients and followers with weight bias I suggest you start with this awesome podcast: Food Psych with Christy Harrison christyharrison.com/foodpsych/ I know you guys genuinely want to help people, so I really hope you check it out. As health care providers, you need to understand that health is a spectrum, bodies are diverse, and you really should be willing to serve people in all body types to help them improve their lives. This video just casts an awful shadow across all of your content for me now, because I now know that you value thinness in your clients, and you think that all anyone has to do to be skinny is to adopt these habits. This video is patronizing, insulting, and I really wish you had never posted it.
