Nice install, but one question: Why did you untwist the pairs all the way to the sheathing? The first rule I learned years ago in data termination is to keep each pair twisted as close to the termination point as possible.

​​​​@@tanishqbhaiji103No. It depends on the speed of data transmission and the amount of noise in the environment. Lower speed transmission is more tolerant to noise. And if the communication protocol being used is TCP as opposed to UDP, TCP has an error recovery scheme built in where if errors are detected then a retransmission of the data packet occurs increasing the chance of the packet getting through successfully. And given how infrequently data is sent, there is plenty of time to perform packet resends multiple times without affecting the performance. It isn't time critical data. It is just statistics data.

These videos are what I imagine dating Lindsay Lohan would be like. One min you're using wire end ferrules, the next your not, one day your using a snazzy stripper, then you don't bother. And that strip on that Cat6 was bloody messy considering you have an Knipex Ergo strip and made a meal of it with the cyclops 😅

It's for connecting to the power meter. That you have to install in the switch board. The part they happen to keep out because it takes 3x longer then the rest of the install because of the usual.mess you find in them.

Why only 1 Phase? This limits you to 4kW on most cars... Some support 7kW but not that many. 3ph gives you up to 22kW charging

I didn’t see any strain relief for the charging socket cable into the box! So the weight of the cable and any pulling force is going to act directly onto the wire termination points!!! That ain’t good at all!

You have all this fancy stuff for very specific purposes, but you use a slotted screwdriver of all screwdrivers to break the gaskets... If you feel like you have to use a screwdriver for that (please don't), use literally any screwdriver but that one...

Yes but you will need to ensure the voltage drop across the length of cable does not exceed limits. You may need to increase the thickness (the cross sectional area ) of the conductors to compensate for the increased resistance caused by increased length.
