Julia I test drove a 2007 Acura TSX with 118,000 miles today. The seller is asking $6,900 I'm trying to get a few hundred knocked off of the price. If all goes well with my mechanic inspection on Friday I will purchase the car.

@@nikevabrown6614 that price is a little high, but it depends on the condition of the car. I'd try to knock it to 6k. Mileage isn't too bad either. Best of luck with it girl

@@juliabeitzinger6508 thanks so much for responding. And yes, I went in today with $6,000 and he didn't seem too receptive to that. Said we could do $6,700. I'd be happy with $6,500, especially if the mechanic gives the car a thumbs up.

A key part in what most young car owners will never understand or appreciate. Remaining loyal and dedicated to a reliable vehicle that can last a lifetime. It saves a ton on cost, they're more simplistic, and they're pretty much robust in their own way. Phenomenal job by the owner.

I had 2008 TSX with a manual. Loved it. The only thing I had to do though is to permanently disconnect the Bluetooth module that was draining the 12V battery every night. Junk yards were asking for $1,000+ for the used Bluetooth module! Acura dealers were asking way above that. If Acura/Honda were to improve on their exterior paint quality, then this would be as iconic as the Lexus IS 300.

Minimal maintenance, timeless exterior design and the interiors hold on quiet well (the leather seats don't fade, even the steering controls volume knobs etc. still maintaining their color don't fade, scratch etc.) plus had all the features included in models by DEFAULT (power everything, great navigation, perforated leather seats (yes you heard it right) , dual climate control, 6 CD changers, heated seats, ,moon roof etc. etc. all came in standard.

I thought it was interesting that your impression of driving the vehicle was that it felt like a 70,000 mile car, not a 600,000 mile one. A gentleman looked at my 2005 Acura TSX and wanted to buy it at 170,000. It was maintained at dealership but it needed a new cover/gasket for timing chain had to fixe.before I could drive it home, bought it when it arrived at lot same day. It had 130,000 miles. It got 40.5 miles mpg from Portland to Corvallis round trip but averages 35 to 37.5 mpg normally. Will keep it well maintained.

I have had my 2005 TSX since Jan. 1, 2005. 147,000 miles. 6 speed manual. I replaced the AC in 2016 and the clutch in 2022. Ignition coil last month. Still cheaper than a car note.
@ZDriver1996

@@GoodnWise I’m at 182k now. Have had little wear issues but engine and transmission are running smooth. Changed the lower control arms today to get rid of a bit of vibration. I’m over kill on the car with maintenance. Original AC, rack and pinion, power steering pump, radiator and hoses. Sometimes I get bored and just install a new part just incase. So far cost of ownership for the past 13.5 years has been $83 dollars a month plus replacement parts (I do the labor myself). Sure as heck beats a $700 average monthly payment today.
