I've got the YHM Resonator R2 and it fks. It's great that a big name came out with a cheaper 30 cal can. It might bring prices down to make them all more afforable. I wouldn't trust PSA with their bad QC.

You’ve never used anything better huh 😂. Aero is an OK budget option only marginally better than PSAs junk. But the QC, fit and finish and innovation isn’t there at all, they build a cheap product that’s just like the hundreds of other manufacturers who make cheap ARs out there. I’m a big fan of KAC and LMT because of the innovative rifles they produce and just how nice they feel, look, shoot and how boring the reliability is. Lately I’ve been shooting and training with my LMTs a bunch and they have become my go to rifles.

The AP ambidextrous lower is light years ahead of the competition as I've demonstrated many times with reload drills vs those Gucci fags. Most of them only have a bolt release vice release and lock capability. Even if they do their ergonomics are overriden for style which should NEVER be the case for a firearm! Oh and their enhanced upper is the shit too. I'll play hot hands with anyone and win, your skinny handguard will be the death of you in a prolonged fire fight.

There will be more competition in the market but I think your price is a little optimistic with the way metals and inflation are going. I know Aero bought most of the remaining stock of what is left of Inconel in the US. We're going to see a tight few years as energy markets are in major shock right now and metal forging is massively energy intensive.

I know its not conducive to long business life but if we could get high value and good suppressors on the market for let's say the price of a glock. Tax stamp, price, and everything else in people's hands. I think more people would make the leap. Putting them in common use is the goal and removing from the NFA eventually. Point being the better the price point the more you will sell and also faster. In the end making it easier to make more money in the long term.

I want to see some meter and night shooting tests on these. Price point is pretty interesting (especially being a dealer getting wholesale) and I love aero products. But the 30cal market seems pretty over saturated right now. I am however extremely interested in the bolt gun they have coming. I've always wanted a kitted out R700, and if they can come in with a nice price I will definitely be picking one up.

No it wouldnt. People buy surefire beacuse they are used by special forces and have proven themselves to be extremely durable, also a probably the best at signature reduction (flash suppression) for night vision users. There are other already existing cans that do what this one will do and they havent made people stop buying surefire. It seems like a good can and will sell well at its price point but it wont draw most people away from getting a surefire anymore than something like the DA sandman already has.

Anecdotally, they had the loudest first round pop. I bought a can $150 cheaper thats rated the quietest for .308 (Enticer-L) between all the major cans. I suggest looking up the cans on Pew Science.

Hope they have a surefire three prong adapter. I have multiple rifles with the surefire prong but only one surefire suppressor. Would be nice to have a cheaper can to throw on another rifle without having to constantly swap the suppressor between rifles, especially when it’s hot after shooting and hard to get off from carbon locking

I’ve never understood how a can can cost $700 for a piece of metal with some threads … how much does the ATF charge can manufacturers to serialize it ??? Like there has to be a cost on top of the product becouse there isn’t $100 worth of material there and with modern machining if you tripled the material cost for labor $400 seems like it would make a fucking bang up barrel muffler haha. Now if it made of Titanium I can see it having a price like all suppressors do but $700 for a direct thread pipe with some baffles is insane there isn’t even a moving part haha. Concentric threading is evidently the highest paying by the hour procedure in the country .

If I put one of these on a pistol are standards pistol sights going to be able to see over it or no? To me one of the reasons to get a .30 cal can is that it can do (almost) everything and that includes pistol usage.

Not likely. Most pistol cans are smaller diameter than 30 cal cans. Also what pistol caliber are you using? Most common pistol calibers are bigger than .30 (9mm, .40, .45) and won’t fit through the baffles. Do you have a 30 super carry because that’s all I can think of that would work. If you want a do it all can (rifle and pistol), look at the Griffin Optimus/bushwacker or silencerco hybrid/omega cans.

9mm is 0.355" cal homie. No dedicated .30 cal rifle cans will work with pistols. Only huge hybrid cans can accommodate both but their diameters generally aren't meant to be used on a handgun. That's why handgun specific suppressors max out with a 1.375" diameter so that Suppressor Height iron sights can clear the top.
