Trick is to manually put it in 4th and up your speed slowly by 5 mph and then floor it each time. Eventually it'll not need to downshift. Then go down to the exact mph so you find the lowest speed it'll not downshift at. For instance, if I want to do a 2nd gear pull in my GS without it downshifting I need to be at 28 mph.

I hate to say this but you really should have considered drilling where the corners of the cuts on those side skirts are at. Drilling and then sanding the edges smooth would have given you a nice rounded corner to relieve the stress points and reduce the risk of cracking later. I've done a lot of fiberglass work over the years and sharp inside corners are almost always the failure point. It seems like a low stress area, but just the usual body roll while cornering is enough to split something like that. On a car that is going to see some track usage, where cornering forces will be above average, you increase the risk by a large amount.
