ETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. ETFs, like broad market index, sector-specific, and bond ETFs, are favored for long-term investments because of their diversification, reducing risk while offering growth and income potential.

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

He started a company that makes and sells remote controlled toy planes I think. Plus it just takes a long time for compound interest to work. Warren Buffett made most of his money after the age most people retire. One of the tricks unfortunately is just being around a long time. Getting wealthy often isn’t doing one big thing one time but rather doing the small things over and over again for decades until it turns into something big. A lot of people never even get started or quit because they think investing smaller amounts of money won’t make a difference but if you do it long enough then it will. Look up Ronald Reed i think was his name. A janitor that died with around nine million dollars. He just consistently invested in blue chip stocks for decades.

Quite Educative !! I think that Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first-time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing. I am working on a ballpark estimate of $5M for retirement, and I have a good 6-figure loaded up for this, could there be any opportunity for a boomer like me? I'm nearly 60.

All of the ETF mentioned are not in GBP. It would be better if you show how much allocation you put on each ETF rather than putting numbers in the numbers for views

He's clearly just catering his videos towards the bigger audience - US. He's also mastered dthe art of clickbait. Fair play. A lot of the ETFs discussed overlap massively, so it wouldn't make sense having a portfolio with all 7.
@igorskarzynski-j7d9 ай бұрын
so the best thing to do is to invest in all of these every month or choose one and invest in that one? I'm just curious whether it would be better to just stick to one etf such as the vanguard s&p 500 or would it be better to instead of investing all my money in the vanguard, diversify it into these 7 ?

Transfer of wealth usually occur during market crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy, in the meanwhile I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases, apparently there are strategies to 3x gains in this present market cos I read of someone that pulled a profit of $350k within 6months, and it would really help if you could make a video covering these strategies.

Many people underestimate the importance of advisors until their emotions lead them astray. I recall a few summers back, amidst a lengthy divorce, when I required substantial support to keep my business afloat. Seeking licensed advisors, I found someone with top qualifications. Despite inflation, she aided in growing my reserves from $275k to $850k.

He mentioned in one video that he paid his son for completing various tasks around the house, e.g. taking out the trash. But would indeed love to hear more :D I’m not yet sure how I feel about paying my son for doing things I’d expect him to help with anyway. But I’m open for this possibility if there’s anecdotal “proof” of its good effects :D

At what percentage would you buy each individual stock? I would think 30-40% S&P 500 and the rest 10% each or something else?
@AJohnson032511 ай бұрын
It depends on how long you have to invest and what your goals are. At the end of the day, you need to be invested in something that will let you tolerate the ups and downs in the market and not freak out and sell and actually buy more when it’s going down. One of the keys to building wealth is just not losing money long enough that compound interest starts to really have an impact. I’d stay away from gold and bitcoin for sure. If you don’t know how to read financial records then stay away from individual stock picks. Your plan, goals, and knowledge may evolve over time. Mine sure have. Personally, I’m doing mostly Vanguard funds with a few stocks that I have researched. My individual stocks make up a small part of my portfolio. Some vanguard funds have done better than others and some are more diversified and some are more concentrated. I don’t really like VYM. Ideally, if you’re buying something other than VOO, you would have the financial literacy to research the core holdings of an ETF but that comes with time and practice.
