Do you guys do durability tests or use the headphones for a longer period of time and see if it lasts? There are 2 SteelSeries headsets that are in best overall category but I have read so many bad reviews that not only they give performance issues over the period of time but also they break very easily. So I've been looking at reviews for the cloud Stinger and cloud X2, the cloud stinger seems to be having an occurring problem with the Jack being easily broken or coming apart but the sound being optimal, whereas the X2 has a really bad static and feedback problem while being used. Both seem like good headphones but torn as if i should take a chance on them

I don't know about the Stinger or X2, but I've had a set of Hyper X Cloud Alpha headphones for about a year now and love them. They're wired with inline volume control and a removable mic, memory foam cups with super soft leather, very comfortable. I play a lot of PUBG on console and they have great directional sound.

I’ve had hyper x, astro a50s and steel series wireless. The steel series are definitely the best. Better sound quality that’s natural that’s not too harsh on high end like the astros, the dual batteries are endlessly convenient.

I don’t play online or use the chat so I really don’t care if the mic works or not. My budget is $160 for the sound quality for the ps4. Games I play- resident evil, the last of us, kingdom hearts,Assassins Creed. I’m also waiting for PlayStation to release splinter cell love that game. Any suggestions??? Based on this review, I went out and bought Logitech G935 (newer version of G933). The headset sounds great. However, on PS4 wirelessly via USB dongle, the volume is very low despite maxing PS4 headset sound level. The volume dial on the headset itself does not do anything when connected to PS4. I would describe the volume level as mid-low. I can still hear the sound and dialog etc, but it's like watching TV at late night and don't want to wake up family level kind of low. I am surprised this issue isn't mentioned in the review at all.

I owned several models of Astro A50 and they all last for 8 hours+ on battery. Could it be the base station compatibility that makes a difference? I am in a party all the time playing Destiny 2 usually with around 30% game audio and Dolby=ON. Also, I never play on the upper end of the sound level and I think this also could be a factor. And yes I am surprised by the latency numbers, but I game on a Sony TV anyway so it should be balanced maybe?

I have the arctis 7 pro 2019. Honestly it's a really good. Downside is that my bluetooth adapter doesn't work. So using it wired instead of wireless, you lose slot of the sound. You really feel immersed when you use bluetooth. After extended hours of use it does tend to make my ears very tender. Maybe my head might just be too big😂😂but really worth its money.

I would get none of those to be honest, except maybe the Game One. Turtle Beach is trash, I had the Stealth 700 and returned em cuz they were awful. The HyperX Alpha isn't great, the Revolver S is just ok. How much are you willing to spend? I currently use both the Arctis Pro + Gamedac and Sony Platinum on my PS4. If money isn't an issue I'd get the Arctis Pro hands down, they are amazing. But if you don't want to spend too much the Sony Platinum has been awesome for me as well. They're only $120, wireless, have great battery life and some of the best virtual surround sound I've heard on a gaming headset. They also have the 3D audio for certain games and Sony exclusives. There's a companion app on PS4 that allows you to set a custom EQ or pick from about 20 different profiles that were custom tuned by the game's designers. The 3D audio and custom profiles work with Uncharted 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, RDR2 and about 10 other games. For $120 they are def the best deal strictly for gaming on PS4. Plus, Sony said they are putting a lot of work and money into their 3D audio for PS5 so the Platinum headset will be future proof when the next gen system comes out since they already are capable of 3D audio. The Sony Gold headset is almost the same but it doesn't have the 3D audio and they aren't as well built, using only plastic while the Platinum uses aluminum. I owned the Game One a year or 2 ago and they were ok but underwhelming and I think the Platinum is a better deal for a little less money. They're wireless, have really good surround processing and positional audio for pinpointing footsteps and stuff and they have the app so you can customize the sound to be however you like it. I have owned about 12 gaming headsets on PS4 and the Platinum is my favorite under $150 with the Arctis Pro Gamedac being my favorite over $150. My next one will be the incredible HyperX Cloud Orbit S which is $330 and is the only gaming headset to use planar magnetic drivers. They're also created by Audeze whose cheapest headset is $400 so they make very high end audiophile quality great. Most of their headphones go for $2,000+ so they know what they're doing when it comes to amazing planar magnetic headphones.

The atctis pro wired is the best option. Best headset on the market rn if you don't mind that theyre wired. And don't worry too much for surround sound. I own the astro a40 trs and if you like competitive shooters stereo sound is way better, surround sound isn't so great at the moment in most headsets.

I have both the headsets your in about. Although the Sony platinum aren't built as well they sound much better You can increase the volume of the platuim head by quite a bit if you load up a just casue 4 profile in the headset app. Makes a huge difference

Ugly_ Vlad finally I bought artics 7 after testing ps4 gold and beach stealth 600 and 700 . The sounds quality in artics 7 is way better that others. Only problem with artics is the mix chat/ sound button does not work in ps4 which sometimes annoying in online gaming .

If you’re gaming on PS4 get either the PS Gold or the Astro A50s most of the headsets shown dongles wont work with PS4 but they won’t tell you that. If you play FPS and want a chat volume to game volume mixer. Those two are your best bets. The HyperX cloud 2 dongle DOES NOT WORK ON CONSOLE. Don’t let em fool you fellas.

I had the Arctis 7 for a day, and that's the only reason I recommend the Arctis Pro because the quality of the headset is just too good but half the functions are unusable. I swapped it for PlayStation Platinums so that's why a $300 headset isn't so high on my priority list now, but eventually... 🤞

Very good HS. I use the Xbox version on PS4 in PC mode. No voice or volume control but the defaults are OK and you can change them in the PS4 menu's.

The Plantronics RIG 800 are pretty good gaming headphones, but our unit (LX Xbox variant) have a deal breaker distortion issue when they are brought to high volumes, which is why we didn't include them in this video.

Bullshit. I have the wireless gold PS4 headset and they're not terrible. They are actually quite good, especially the surround sound mode which certain PS4 games support. Not even my SteelSeries 7 can rival the golds in sound when playing 7.1 enabled games (of which there are a precious few). The build quality of the wireless gold let's it down massively. Still the gold wireless is by no means a shit headset.

I got the SteelSeries Arctis 7s and im not a fan of them, the head set has a great build quality to it and they are comfortable but the sound and mic on them isn't that great for the price. I returned them after a few days of use.

@@shay3514 I got one bc everyone said it was good and I needed a second headset but apparently its only good on pc because I have a Razer Kraken which is the same price as the cloud 2 and the sound quality difference is just too noticable, the cloud 2 saturates a lot and 7.1 only works on pc so imo you're better off buying a Razer headset If you're playing on ps4

Probably didn't make the list because it doesn't have surround sound. I know, it's a dumb reason. They should include headsets not based on anything but sound quality and soundstage and THEN include mentions of ones that come with surround sound.

@Joe mama they have updated the ps4 gold headset. It now has a flexible headband won't break with a strong amount of stress to it.
