Dr. Russ, am I glad I remembered you, for some reason, I had to subscribe again to your channel. YT as platform is atleest dubious. Thanks to you and your advices, I've got to point airguns are bit boring.

Good to hear from you Milan.... and if you get stuck on just one passion of anything, it too can become boring... I was recently reminded that there might be an 8th passion, and that is teaching spouses, kids, grand kids, friends or strangers gun accuracy and safety. Dr. Russ

I only like break barrels because you can diesel them if you need more power, for bigger game or more fpe at long distance, I get good accuracy even when dieseling, thr groups are a little more spread and a few flyers, but these things are flying at m16 speeds with some Vaseline, and are shooting a little high at 75 yrs, so these things will streach out to 150 yrs, hitting a gallon jug, with very little drop, i have one gun strictly for dieseling, but you gotta just use open sight, (dieseling increases the chances of breaking your scope, this gun been through 5, but i am thinkinga cross bow scope will hold up)I named it the baby Pitt bull.
@russjones64975 ай бұрын
His Appointed Times ... it is good to hear from you .... M 16 speeds can be between 2500 and 3000 fps ... and few air guns let alone powder guns can hit that speed. I am glad that you enjoy your break barrel. Understand that consistency with diesel rounds would require consistent vaseline.... and shooting targets is different than shooting critters. The last thing you want to do is wound a critter that will live another day without a leg ... etc... Dr Russ

@@russjones6497 squirrels are tough. What's the best break barrel overall in your opinion?, I think the hastan 135 22 cal, I found the best technique for high power break barrels, you use a dot sight , and line it up with a custom front fixed sight, doesn't lose zero very dependent, and you can raise the dot above the sight, in an angle for distance

Hi Dr. Russ, it was an absolute blast. it was so much fun being around so many other folks that shared the passion of airgunning. I brought several of my antique guns and it was so fun allowing other folks to try them out.

Thank goodness for stand your ground laws here in Kentucky bc if someone breaks into my home i automatically will consider mine and my family’s life is at risk always bc in todays new world it a very realistic likely possibility. I pray that I will never have to stand my ground but will never hesitate to to do so bc all it takes is a second to end a life and I’m not ready to go yet and I’m dang sure not ready to lose a loved 1.

Hi i have a hatsan vortex break barrel that i didn’t use much but now it won’t shoot i think yhe gas piston went bad i been watching videos but i can’t find something of how to fix it thanks
@russjones64974 ай бұрын
Pabloteran ... sorry to hear about that trouble. Most break barrels are inexpensive, and by the time you take them to a qualified gunsmith ... or return them to Hatsan who might fix it for free, leaving you with the mailing costs both ways, you are out of luck. Ive been there before. One idea is to go ahead and take it apart yourself. You will either fix it ... or you will learn more about airguns, and be able to fix future air guns... Dr Russ

How come I can't find a review on the speed fire magnum 1250, it's probably the most powerful 22 multi shot they are saying 28fpe, and they are more honest than Gamo.

Artemis gr1600 488m/s at 4.5mm at 5.5mm 380m/s doesn't have a mag but it's accurate second in terms of power comes gamo magnum igt not the multi shot version

2 parts Vaseline, 1 part coconut oil. Good combination, Vaseline is a little to thick for the barrel, this formula let's the pellets slide smoother, and a smooth diesel ignition

LOL air guns for personal or home defense sounds like a felons or a fools tale. I'm pretty sure felons are going to choose powder guns over air guns, but what do I know. Showing up to a real gun fight in your living room with an umarex multi pump pellet gun would be comical... you are worried about the DA or prosecutor in the court room more than you are worried about your family at your funeral. 😂
@russjones64975 ай бұрын
Tyrant ... I did not say that you take an airgun versus a powder gun to a defensive fight (take both) ... I said that most home thieves do not take weapons because it doubles their prison time when caught. I also said that the police and DA and the family of the thief will treat you much better if you use a lesser weapon to stop a theft. Keep in mind, neighbors etc will be weighing a theft in your home much more harshly if you killed a thief who was trying to steal a $500 TV. Dr Russ
