Here’s a couple more: 1. The Atlantis pyramid lava chamber shaft in Tomb Raider Famously nicknamed the “three scream drop” as Lara’s scream sound loops three times as you fall, the main shaft of the Atlantis pyramid on nea Kamemi island in Tomb Raider 1 is a big shaft in the centre of the pyramid you keep coming back to as you slowly climb to the scion room at the top. Natla takes a hot bath while Lara lands on a smaller platform, and is forced to fight a legless mutant. In both the levels Atlantis & The Great Pyramid, there’s nothing stopping you from hurling yourself down the shaft into the lava or even doing a graceful if fatal dive. It’s even better in the remake I.e. Core Design’s cancelled TRAE as now you have meat growing on the walls of the shaft, the odd lava fall here and there and a giant brain with a computer interface at the top you can make your new jumping point, with a huge brain stem connected to it going all the way down to the lava and held up by chains like something out of Doom Eternal. 2. The hotel atrium in Tomb Raider 2’s expansion pack, Golden Mask In the bonus level unlocked by finding all secrets, Nightmare in Vegas, you simply have fun exploring a crazy Las Vegas hotel. The main atrium has a huge gold sculpture you can climb down but you can also jump swan dive off the edge and land in a tiny trapdoor full of water connected to the nearby swimming pool. 3. A pit of radioactive sludge in Tomb Raider 3’s expansion The Lost Artefact In the third level Shakespeare Cliff, you need to climb down a very deep pit full of toxic goo in the channel tunnel so you can enter the outer Chunnel areas in the sea. (Artistic license) However, there’s a floppy disk down there you can carry back upstairs, use in a porta-potty to flush all the toilets into the pit, then dive off the wrecked subway train into the now flooded pit (rendering the toxic goo harmless) in order to find a secret that opens. 4. The sky lab in DUSK The seemingly underground yet not Sky lab in episode 2 of Dusk takes you through a second section of it before you have to jump down a deep, dark shaft all the way down from the sky into another set of underground tunnels, which leads eventually through a dig site to a teleporter. The only thing that breaks in the fall is your torch, right before windigos attack. 5. The falling space colony ARK in Shadow the Hedgehog The level Cosmic Fall in the best Sonic game ever made has a section at the end of the hero mission path where you skydive through space. Avoid taking the second or third dash rings here and it feels even more badass. You sadly don’t break earth’s atmosphere, instead landing on a broken catwalk with a rocket you use to get a little higher but it’s still awesome. 6. The hovering covenant ship in Halo 1 In Halo 1’s Keyes level, you return to the Truth & Reconciliation looking for captain Keyes. He’s on the bridge but all the doors in are locked, forcing you to jump down a deep hole in a nearby hanger through several decks and what looks like hundred of metres of open space (unless you’re playing the remaster, which changed the hole to be much more shallow, which sucks) into a relatively shallow but thick and soft reactor coolant pool. 7. The Snatcher’s house in A Hat in Time. Right at the start of Subcon Forest, you can find the house of resident evil ghost the Snatcher, which appears to be based on the nightmare asylum in Psychonauts, being a thorny tree stretching high into the sky. There’s goodies at the very top and if you have to no fall damage badge equipped, you can leap off of it afterward back below the forest canopy and survive unharmed.

This was my first thought. I remember it was always so satisfying to do.

It's this kind of hyper specific type of list that makes me love this channel. You could be like "Seven rubbish filled futures that could really do with a bit of a tidy" and I'd be like "8O"

Doing an orbital drop from the top of the highest climbable tower in Infamous Second Son was always pretty cool. Getting an achievement for it was the cherry on top

literally any high point in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You got towers, mountains, clifftops, more mountains, and if your especially daring: Hyrule Castle itself.

Really loved Crackdown. The fact you can easily jump up the Tower and pretty much ignore all other requirements to get the other areas unlocked.

What about Shatterback Point in Breath of the Wild? It's the clifftop just past the Lynel in Zora's Domain that overlooks the world's biggest swimming pool, East Reservoir Lake. It even has a sign telling you not to do it, which naturally makes you want to do it more.

Best jump off high thing in a video game is Spiderman jumping off a skyscraper in Spiderman for the PS2. No matter how you land, he always has to die the exact same way in the most melodramatic fashion. Such a classic. :)

My favorite thing to do back in the day was base jumping in Shadow of the Colossus. Climb your way onto the bridge and yeet yourself to where the second colossus is (use the unlockable parachute to survive, maybe water works too, never tested). I some how killed Agro doing this? I just know I landed to find a dead horse...

How about the crashed Aurora’s upper level in Subnautica? Bonus points for that particular jump having a pretty high chance of ending in a Reaper’s mouth.
