I will die on the hill that 'you're getting mauled by the Tigers' complete with the hand gestures is one of the best chants in football, purely based on how much it winds opposition fans up. I have no issue with the "Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea" chant...seeing that many other club supporters just chant their club's name. I also do not have an issue with Leeds' anthem. It's not the best anthem ever, but it works. Every other one of your other listings should absolutely be on here. There's an Addams Family one that makes insinuations about the bedroom habits of the opposition that should by rights be reserved for East Anglian opposition alone, but which is aimed at more or less everyone. There's another one that celebrates the delights of life in South London in a particularly...lusty way, before proceeding to a second verse that takes aim at Millwall's home turf (this bit is less objectionable tbf). In all fairness, 'stand up if you won the war' is tasteful compared to the plastic orange wehrmacht helmets that were popular in 2006 in the Netherlands. I still see them popping up here and there to this day, especially if games againt Germany. Considering that, unlike England-Germany, NL-Germany is actually considered a rivalry by both sides, things do often get heated, but the Dutch really pushed it in 2006.

re: the sounders chant, as someone who has been going to those games for years, the sounders and several other clubs used to be a lot more rowdy and the chants used to be less tame but a few years ago the MLS and US Soccer cracked down a lot on teams with chants that were taken to be offensive (and by offensive they mean not child friendly) which a decent number of fans arent a fan of. its made going to games a lot less fun if im being honest

One of the best chants I've heard in the League of Ireland is: "Oh the Bohs room is bare There's no silverware there And there's no Mr Sheen Cos there's f*ck all to clean" Spontaneously sung by Shamrock Rovers fans away to Bohemians after going 1-0 up just before half time and sung right through the interval. Bohemians haven't won a major trophy since 2009 while Rovers just wrapped up a fourth league title in a row. There's all sorts of strange, wonderful and downright disgusting chants in the LOI. Reminding primarily nationalist Derry City fans they're subjects of a monarch, telling Cork City fans they'll support umpteen iterations of Cork FC as they keep going bust, the "truth" about St Patrick's Athletic fans' substance abuse, about certain Bohs volunteers' conduct with minors and accusing both Drogheda United and Dundalk fans of having certain types of taboo relations with family members. Can it be February already. I want local football back
