friend of mine has a Kleemann tuned 820-850 hp (1400 nm) CLS 63 AMG fucking crazy car! he claims it easy does 370 km/h (230 mph) maby more. Love Mercedes, love AMG and love the guys who tune them Renntech, Kleemann, Carlsson, Brabus. just to name a few.

That to me says "street legal" but not "streetable." I've never driven, but ridden in a 1,500 HP muscle car, and it was a total handful that required 100% concentration at all times. Certainly not something I could actually enjoy beyond pulling into a gas station and telling people it had that much power.

neighbor has a 750whp cls63 amg. i thought its just wrapped in blue and bsically stock. but today before going out he asked me about my ls460 nd asked me what im pushing cuz it looks mean. i laughed and said its stock just bagged prolly pushing around 300whp. i asked him how much his merc is pushing and he told told me he dynod at 750whp. he told me his boy has ls460 pushing 500whp supercharged nd told me he can get me a hook up i told em ima prolly get rid of the ls for the new rc f. idk wtf he does. never working. up until 5am. prolly races or something. he has a bunch of mini bikes and a s2000 pushing 350whp. guys fucken crazy.

And the cars wrapped in a gerying blueish with the spoiler wrapped black. Not my style but it looks good. the cla was fisrt wrapped matte blue and when he sold it it was wrapped matte orange.

Mercedes's 7-speed MCT transmission is surprisingly good like that.

The GTR's amazing straight line performance has much more to do with the transmission and differential than it does just power and weight. The transmission shifts much faster in the GTR than the Mercedes, and it can get a significantly better launch.

ahem, before yo get all high and mighty, you might want to check some facts too. The ZR1 uses the same carbon ceramic brakes from the Enzo, but Ferrari uses the GM magnetic ride control shocks from the ZR1 in the 458 and the FF.

Hate to break it to you, but that gap is there from the factory. The nose and hood haven't been touched on this car, just the splitter on the bottom. I thought the same thing when we drove it, but they had another stock CLS there and it was the same.

We focus our films around the modifications done. If the car is a big power car, we discuss how that power feels. If it's a handling thing, we focus on the handling, like Frank's Lotus. If it's a crazy custom job, like the Blastolene, we focus on his motivations behind doing such a project. And I hate to say it, but the view counts don't lie. Having a car with a big horsepower number in the title of the video will get more views than "This Lotus Has Improved Handling." or something like that.

You proved your own point. a 45 hp improvement alone will not shave 3/10ths off a 0-60 time. A quarter mile isn't very long, and over a standing mile the results may be closer. a TON of the quarter mile performance is dependent on launch. The GTR will hit 60 mph almost a full second faster than the C63 will. Even if they are equally quick while rolling, there's your second right there, and it all comes from the launch.

The Supra was a 15 year old car, and it was an original part that failed, not part of the aftermarket kit. This is a brand new car, and people who are upgrading $120,000 Mercedes expect a certain level of reliability that, if it were compromised, they would be out of business right quick. Having said that, if it's the modifications that bother you, I'd still rather have a stock CLS63 than a Panamera Turbo.

No, in the case of the AMG V8's the turbos are identical and run in parallel (one per cylinder bank), not a sequential setup like a stock Supra would be.

This is correct. Mercedes uses the term "Biturbo" to mean identical, twin-turbos. The turbos are the same size, as it would make no sense to run them in sequence with a V-type engine configuration.

see, when I get a weak signal from behind, I don't slow down, I speed up to get away from the signal before he identifies which car it is. That way I'm not sitting there at 55 just waiting for the cop to catch up to me. If it's behind me and not close enough to make direct eye contact, I just get the hell out of there. Without arrows, I wouldn't know to do that.

I'm getting a good laugh out of these comments. It was Labor Day. You know what I did? Me, my size 0 girlfriend, and my friends took the new Shelby GT500 to Vegas, the long way. We stopped at the track for a few laps and some drifting, then went to Lotus of Siam, the best rated Thai restaurant in the country. We cruised the strip in the Shelby, met some fans, then went to the bar and got drunk, before winning money at blackjack. You wrote 10 comments on a KZbin video calling me fat. I win.

furthermore, if there are elevation changes in the road, I can use the arrows to identify exactly how far the cop is ahead or behind me as I crest hills and the signal changes. You can only do this kind of analysis with a V1, and because of that, I can spot, with nearly 100% accuracy, where the cops actually are and how they are moving.

Mercedes' gearboxes are one of the smoothest shifting transmissions I've ever drove. I wouldn't want it any other way. The auto and paddle shifters are awesome on these cars.

The thing is, with AMG Cars, they use "biturbo", but the engines are actually twin-turbos that use the same size snails. It's confusing like that. Because they are small turbos there isn't much lag though.

that's completely untrue. If I get a weak radar signal from behind, I speed up to get away from the cop before he has time to identify which car is setting off the signal. If I get a strong signal from behind, I downshift rather than using the brakes to avoid alerting the cop with brake lights. If I get a strong signal from the front, I jam the brakes hard. Without the arrows, you wouldn't be able to make those kinds of decisions.
