Agree 100%. Back then the MVP narratives were in favor of Embiid, so he had to protect his MVP chances by dodging Jokic in Denver because he knew he would get demolished. Fun fact, Embiid hasn't played in Denver since November 8 2019, so he's been dodging Jokic for 4 seasons straight. He's not only a fraud MVPity, but a coward. Embiid is a coward and selfish loser who happened to be lucky enough to have natural gifts. For example, he is born and raised in Cameroon, supposedly has humble beginnings(that he seemingly forgot about by acting like an entitled bitch whining and complaining). He would have never been discovered and have the life he does today if it wasn't for a fellow African player Luc Mbah a Moute who actually appreciates his roots and gave back to his community discovering his ass. How does he pay it forward? Oh by getting French citizenship so he can play for them. It's one thing to opt out to preserve his health, but its a whole nother thing to re-up with the freaking colonizer nation. He had an amazing opportunity to inspire not only millions of Cameroonian kids, but all over Africa, and do for these kids what Luc Mbah a Moute did for him back in the day, but instead he sold out.

Well, at least he never fooled me. I said it right after the Atlanta Hawk series. When everyone was ocuppied destroying Ben which he deserved. I said the sixers have a big problem, because Embiid is not the player they thought he was, but seems that until yesterday they discovered that they don't have that number one guy who can take them to a championship or at least get pass the second round.

The fact that people put Doc Rivers over Erik Spoelstra as the better coach will always confuse me. 😅 Eric gives it his all every season with the Heat and has stuck to it with the Lebron team and now the Jimmy Butler team. Massive respect to the Heat and Eric for making it this far, again. I will be shocked if Doc Rivers does not get fired with the recent trend of head coaches being fired from playoff teams.

Few years ago, Seth curry (still with dallas) defended Embiid on a switch. They're in thw right elbow, a few feet away from the basket. Seth planted his body and prepared to receive a hard push towards the basket. Embiid, then surveyed the floor, and did a step back fade away....againts Seth, a feather weight guard. Seth just looked at him with surprise in his eyes. It was a very funny play.

Embiid has always found someone else to blame for their losses and the media never put it on him. It was always "someone else's" fault. They don't keep the same energy for Embiid OR Harden that they had for Ben Simmons or Julius Randle and Randle ALWAYS plays his heart out regardless on if he has an off-shooting night. Embiid on the other hand just doesn't show up and plays passive or without the effort he showed during the season.

I've not been a long time fan of the NBA, but as long as I've been watching, the regular season MVP doesn't mean jack. It's finals MVP that matters imo. And of course it's Jokic that loses out on it the year they'll most probably win. Absolutely hilarious

Love your content bro! I just want to add one more reason why embiid and especially harden choke: They heavily depend on draw fouls/flopping, most commonly in late clock situations when they don't look to score but to draw a foul.

As a Celtics fan I always said Doc was over rated during his tenure. He was just affable and good with the media. The one title he had was the most stacked team of the decade and Tom Tibadoe was the assistant coaching the defense lol. When he left Boston he didn't want to go through a quick rebuild but in reality Boston has had way more success than him season after season. The way he cried to the Refs to the media with Embid and Harden on his team was just embarrising.

I lost all my respect for Joel not because he had a bad playoff performance in Game 7 but the way he threw his team under the bus. I understand on games like that everybody gotta play their part and yes I do agree. But at the same time you the leader of the team you the MVP of the league when the team is not stepping up then you have to step up and take over. And not only that the people who he threw under the bus actually did their part like come on man. Take a stand and be a man
