And even though he surprisingly didnt mention her, even tho in my opinion as a TL 37 whale, she is great, Asta should be the bennet of honkai. Tingyun is more of hypercarry buffer, buffing 1 character and its damage, kinda reminder me of mona or mono element buffers, so sara c6, shenhe etc. whereas Asta buffs the whole team, which bennet is capable of doing as well since u are swapping into his field. And additional, bennet c6 grants pyro dmg bonus, which Asta will also grant fire dmg bonus at a4

Pela is so underrated. Not many talk about her. Her def shred is party wide! But I guess most players are more familiar with buffers than debuffers. Party wide debuffs are always good.

She's a good character but buffing a single character is generally just stronger than party wide buffs in this game. Also any fire character has to be insane at something to compete with fire trailblazer, especially if you get the taunt-burn light cone.

I'm surprised Asta isn't on the list. Her damage buff from her passive is pretty insane since it can hit 5 stacks with her E, and I strongly feel that Asta is going to be future proofed since we might be able to speed cheese by promoting an entire team's action prio with the party-wide buff. Plus her E has insane break value in single target. But... this might be a situation where we need eidolons to make her comfy, since a lot of her eidolons affect her buff uptime.

Honestly after reading the kits, we already got a notable amount of characters who'll be topping the meta late game, specifically most of the 4 star supports + Bronya. Unless they powercreep them like in HI3, I don't think they'll fall off hard.

5:24 She can actually removes the annoying “rebirth” buff from the Mara-Struck Soldier enemies with her skill so that they can’t revive after. I was pleasantly surprised that Pela can counter those enemies easily with just a single skill usage. Together with her debuff capabilies, she is such a good unit and has been on my team since I got her

For some bosses, they do a manic buff which boosts their attack so pela can straight up remove that (for those struggling with world 2, shes particularly useful there)

Honestly all the 11 four stars I have have been so amazing that I have most of them built at trailblaze level 28. I dunno if the drops are more generous but it’s been super easy getting everyone to their capped level 40 with a level 40 light cone and capped traces of level 3 😮. Once JingYuan comes I’m gonna prioritize a team around him for team 1 but until then I’m just enjoying playing everyone for different team purposes 😊

Yeah agreed, his damage is very flexible too because while his abilities are aoe his skill will be st if there is only 1 enemy, and the dot dmg is amazing. He is also freaking op to break shields

I think asta is seriouly overlooked. Great shield break with speed buff. When there will be another great sustain character like firetrailblazer, she will be a great option and create like a national team. Asta,ice utility, welt and maybe dan heng who deals more dmg to slowed enemy.

Most players SHOULD build her. There are only 2 healers in HSR and Healing in HSR is so much more important than Genshin, because you cant dodge or i-frame to avoid dmg.

@@raiveresterok, do you mean Simulated Universe? Yeah, final bosses are pretty hard in SU, but with proper buff cards quite possible. At least it has the healing rooms, if you kill weaker enemies quickly you can get to the boss with full HP. Couldn't beat SU World 3 boss with lvl 40 characters tho.

I feel like everyone rates Herta too low, but she is definitely amazing in dealing with waves. A lot of the time, just getting one or two enemies down ti half health will make herta instantly kill everyone with her follow up. Easily my favorite character with how fun she is!

I see a lot of people talking about the Fire MC, but I think the Physical MC is actually pretty good, I have Seele and i would say my Pysical MC is pretty much as strong damage wise, of course my Seele is E0 and my MC is E6, but yeah, since I don't have any other physical characters, I still use her all the time

It's really hard "to settle" on 1 team comb in this type of game. Cause you want to make sure you can utilize the break mechanic fully I personally always try to at least have 2 elements that break the elite enemy type

One thing with Natasha is she is one of the few characters with cleanse (on her talent after upgrade) which Bailu lacks, so for some bosses (hello, world 5 Kafka) she is very useful (ispecially if you don't have Bronya).

I think in 1.1 Natasha is not too good, but times passes by 1.2 and forward Bailu loses the power for Huo Huo, Natasha, Lynx and Luocha Cleanse is a must!

My team that carried me to Level 30 is Serval, Clara, Pela and Natasha (Occassional Asta too), I just got Seele so I hope I can get Bronya or Tingyun! Healers and Buffers are how I play RPGs. Also why I've always believed in Kokomi and Kazuha even Dehya. Sustainability and strat is more important especially if youre f2p like me

This is just an IMO but to say the least tingyun is great but if u get bronya early, prioritize her. Aside from her buffing capabilities what makes her truly strong is her turn count manipulation, letting a character go twice in single rotation is quite strong not only on a damage perspective but on an energy recharge perspective. Also, it can even be used for survivability (immediate march shield/Natasha heal) provided u manage ur skill points properly. What people need to know is that at the heart of it, star rail is a turn based system and the ability to let your unit go first (again) is incredibly invaluable. Tl;dr Tingyun is great (especially as a buffer for 2nd abyss team) but if u have bronya, prioritize her

Sampo's automatically cracked because he has a bounce skill. So like Welt and Asta, he's insane at breaking. But wind seems like an underrepresented weakness so far, which makes him less useful until more wind weak bossed appear.

I think for now in Honkai Star Rail there are no characters that can be said to be really good, because different enemies have different teams to fight against, especially for main damage. and the choice of characters that can be used for a turn base game is not much. I haven't had time to play too far, but what I feel right now is that for damage dealers we depend on the enemy we will face, but for support we can still use the same char with a different type of enemy, even though in some conditions it will be not very effective. for example one healer (natasha/bailu) plus one support from March 7, can make your team's survivability increase, but sometimes killing enemies will take too long. Well, I don't think there are any bad characters at the moment because there aren't many choices, just adjust them to the team you have

Asta + pela + natasha + flex dps Thats my current go to and they havent failed me so far. Sometimes in single target i would switch asta for march 7 since enemy would often target 1 character and hit really hard :')

honestly pela is incredibly good her def shred is no joke and debuff capabilities are just great if you're lucky enough to get her E4, she becomes even more viable as a support for yanqing or any ice dps really (it reduces ice res by 15%, it goes a long way)

@@lavender9658 mostly the blessings from remembrance path, and make use of march + path resonance to freeze enemies including bosses for most of the turns for second point, fire mc taunt + march shield basically moves most of the damage to fire mc who is the tankiest in that team. I use dan heng bcs the boss is weak to wind, phys, and imaginary. :) natasha is still needed as failsafe because boss can 2-3 shots you, and you need tons of cleanse in that fight

Sushang definitely became my main dps the moment I got her. She's incredibly strong, and gets so many attacks in if you build speed on her. Herta is another character that I feel like people have slept on. For such a ftp friendly character, she's incredible at what she does. She can almost endlessly chain follow-up attacks on waves of mobs. Even better if they're weak to ice. One thing that Natasha has over Bailu, is she's actually the better choice if one character needs a significant amount of healing. Very rarely does Bailu heal one character for all 3 ticks of her healing. And for fights where you might need her revival, I've found targets stun her to where she just can't use it.

I'm a level 8 trailblazer if I am saying that right(basically my AR in Genshin language haha) so it's not too late to do things better. As far as future proof, I've found that in hoyoverse games 4 star dps' will get powercrept very easily, but four star supports can stay in the meta for a very long time

Pela's skill can remove revive from a certain enemy in 2nd world, reducing damage boost of mini-boss is still a great thing. Kind of odd Asta isn't here, she is a great fire breaker, and the first 2 boss she is good at carrying the shield breaking, if multi-hit spread out it still provide a better damage boost. Also Natasha with upgrade can remove a debuff with skill, can be a real deal later, since *a certain* enemy I encountered today has an ability to take over your character and make them fight against you for around 2 turns.

great video as always IWTL! i have a question: i do have bronya, if i build tingyun is it a waste of resources? should i build her? also, i don’t like dan heng but he is the only dps i have right now (leveled up). should i try to invest on arlan or maybe other dps? (i don’t have sushang unfortunately 😭) i have qingque, i leveled her up cause i really liked her abilities, is she a dps?

I'd say the fire trailblazer is kinda a must ATM bc the second weekly boss needs a tank and fire AOE is kinda mandatory for the adds and boss break hp

Asta with 4 star Dance Dance Dance lightcone gives you action bar push on her ultimate as well as a speed boost, followed by an attack buff due to her talent. Together with high energy recharge, she seems to be really OP. Her E4 also gives her more energy rate which means she might be able to keep using her ultimate constantly!

Den Hang, it would be great for you to build if you have a welt, you can combine it with Welt, Den Hang, Asta. This team is very good if you fight single enemy. but if it's against many enemies it's less effective, if it's March 7 (without a healer) it can make the enemy not get a turn at all even though it's a bit tricky. Den Hang is also good if you use the Champion of Streetwise Boxing relic (4 Sets), (for early game, if mid or late you don't know, have never experimented) because Den hang's skill has 4x hits and because of this skill I think Den Hang is more it's good to use Shusang's cone instead of his own

Honestly, as of lvl 40 i really like Herta and Sampo. I heard that Herta is one of the worst characters but her additional dmg helps a lot with both weakness and clearing adds. Sampo is dot dmg dealer and right now raw dmg is more valuable (i guess). Still deals passive 1k+ dmg every time enemy takes turn (doesn't matter who) and i think it's really good dmg for current lvl, also his skill is good at breaking wind weak enemies.

2 supports + healer/shielder + dps is perfectly fine. 3 supports might be too much. Since you'll have to give up on your healer/shielder, it'd be a very frail team.
