Respectfully disagree with population decline being a factor. The majority of the developed world has decreased birth rates while the underdeveloped world has an increased birthrate. According to United Nation studies the biggest factor in birth rate is if women have access to education and employment. Overpopulation is real and also a sign of decline, i.e. most civilisation collapse has a stage of decadence and excess followed by resource exhaustion/resource collapse

My small Montana town actually had meetings about this. We’ve developed a system to change over to in the event that the dollar or Federal government experiences a collapse. We have food, money, and energy figured out. We even stocked up on old military surplus hardware for defense. The real issue is uniting the surrounding towns under our banner because you know that we’ll need numbers to resist other entities trying to fill that massive power vacuum

Growth, expansion, maturity, indulgence/decadence, collapse. It is in the switch from the morals which brought about their rise to indulgence and moral corruption that they move from success to ruin. At some point, they always seem to think they can outrun or overcome the nature of humanity.

@@AHagridLookalike never mind it could easily be argued that material excess and power that come with empires built by more hard living, "virtuous" people are precisely the two things we know proverbially lead to corruption, and that no system that is rife with corruption is suited to weather the vicissitudes of fate. The loss of morals argument for civilizational collapse is putting the cart in front of the horse, and the fact so few wistful (and equally corrupted) conservatives that live in any dying empire can see that fact is probably why we are in a seemingly permanent civilizational doom loop as a species.

Yeah, I got to say, as a fairly recently galvanized 'doomer', so to speak, and a lifelong progressive-liberal type person, the difference between a more 'right' vs. 'left' perspective on collapse is compelling. Liberal-types live in a borderline fantasy world on the subject, with little to no taste for hard reality, a near uncontrollable tendency to blame conservatives for everything, and a predictable resort to various types of magical thinking, even if nominally they are taking the situation seriously. While conservative types seem far less judgmental, and way more practical.

In my area, during the vaxxene controversy, a loose coalition formed among the homesteaders, preppers, and survivalists. The idea was they would form local (ie neighborhood level) communities for mutual aid during supply-chain breakdowns. The groups did great when meeting as large groups, sharing skills and tips and stuff, but broke down on the neighborhood level because nobody knew each other well enough yet to trust each other to reveal they had supplies stored away. As a suggestion, if you have any land, plant amaranth. High in protein and low in carbs (relatively). Regarding insulin, during the Y2K panic, I found the original patents for insulin for my wife. A search of the patent database should still find them. In a nut shell, get lots of vodka. Take a pig or beef pancreas. After removing the outer membrane, macerate it as best as you can. Rinse out the pancreas with clean water as best you can. Then use the vodka. Rinse the macerated pancreas in the alcohol. You will get a crystalline precipitate. Filter this out. Rinse the precipitate and filter it several times. You now have several doses of insulin. Remember, this is a 20+ year old memory. Do your own research.

@@nevertolatetoprepare2802 I remember so clearly people being fearful of their loved ones not having insulin (pretty much all Type 1 back then). You're the very first I've seen to actually figure out something to do about it.

Have children, as many as you want. They are the most valuable thing you can have. Lose weight. Go for walks. Stop eating junk. Don't buy what you can't afford. I love this video, great job, sir. Many of these problems we can solve by making some good decisions. Let's do what we can NOW while we can.

You are missing the point that if you can "afford" something, including kids, and the method of currency is devalued or eliminated will negate that nearly instantly.

Our geriatric leadership in Washington, in both parties, tells me we are in imperial decline. Reminds me of the USSR back in the 1980s. Also our 800 military bases around the globe, very expensive, that do noting to protect us in North America. Finally, our government seems more interested in funding the war in Ukraine, a disaster in every way, than upgrading drinking water quality at home or providing funds for expanding dental care to millions of Americans who can’t afford it.

Haha......I agree with your facts but kindly disagree with your interpretation . 1)Geriatric leadership is old but experienced leadership. 2)800 military bases around the world protect the 7 seas and import & export trade routes that support our economy. 3)Funding the defense of Ukraine is ultimately knocking russia from superpower status and hopefully diminishing their influence in Africa , South America and the Middle East .
