I sat around and talked to Miss Tootsie for about an hour, she was amazed that I was trying to eat at every good bbq place in the two weeks I was in TX for work. I'll certainly share this video with all my friends and family on FB, keep on going... When you put your heart into what your doing, it's no longer a job, but a passion that everyone can taste when it reaches the dinner tables, and this is the love you will not find in the tiny portions of virus sprayed meats found in the local grocery stores.

THIS is one of the best BBQ spots in the world and it's baffling how they dont get more press. When Franklins starting hitting all the news and sites we were a bit surprised in Austin. Those of us from Texas knew of dozens of places that were better that didn't have a fraction of the press coverage. While I would love places like this to stay "secret", glad to see you highlighting some truly legendary spots. What makes Snow's special is it still feels LOCAL. Texans truly embarrassing them still. There's a spot across the street selling some amazing local honey and cinnamon rolls.
@MarMar8285 жыл бұрын

Everyone likes THEIR BBQ spot in Texas especially in the Austin area and all the small towns around it. Franklins wouldn't have the lines it did if it wasn't legit but that don't mean it has to be everyone's favorite. Also Franklin's wouldn't have the awards it does or be on Texas Monthly's top 50 BBQ joints if it sucked or if people in Austin would be "surprised." Also Franklin is a James Beard award winner which is voted on by other chefs so they must be doing something right.

As someone who lives in the Netherlands it makes me mad we don't have good American style BBQ like they have in the US. We do home barbecuing but it just doesn't compare. This looks absolutely delicious! Makes my mouth water. Thanks Frank and Munchies for these videos. I love them!

Snow's is great for sure! One minor quibble: during the interview it kind of implied that brisket is something new. Brisket might just be catching on nationwide, but Texas has been doing barbecue brisket for well over a century, probably closer to a century and a half.

I really wish they could produce these frank documentaries faster, but after this I realized that they’re so good cuz it probably takes them a lot of time to find these mysterious, passionate, charismatic and locally adored gems of a restaurant. He rarely covers some food channel big commercial 20 Michelin star restaurant. They find food that lacks that conceptual aftertaste of the industry executive. Incredibly pure motivations r rare.
