Good in world 2 you say? I'll have to check it out. I cheesed tf out of King Doran for his armour and Demonbrandt - because I don't have Pure White World Tendency it's not nearly as kickass as I thought it'd be

@@davethescrub858 Yea, Demonbrandt relies heavily on character tendency. Once you have pure character tendency and combine it with soulbrandt, it's really OP. Crescent Falchion is really effective in World 2 because the enemies are really weak to magic!

Winged Spear: Also, you can strike with Block up, but you really want to invest in Endurance, and get a high Stability (Guard Break Reduction) shield if you want to do this, as your primary fighting style. Instead, i sidestep, and backstab fish. Basically how you handle the roller skeletons in The Isle of Storms, only it works on almost everything. (Not effective on Bosses.) You mostly just have to block 1 hit, except for those, and the knife wielding plague masked enemies in the Valley of Defilement. Also, the Red Eye Knights with the Winged Spear can chain strike you to guard break, but you don't have to worry about them for quite a while. (By then, you might have a Fatal Estoc, which it the best weapon for this fighting style.) The up-shot is you don't need a lot of Armor, or Health if you have a good shield, and enough Endurance, but the downside is it's not great for hitting multiple enemies at once. So, you have to draw them carefully one-bye-one, and it helps to have a slashy backup. This works in PvP too, unless they have a good counter to it. (Too many to mention.)

A Pickax is better than the Morning Star. Same moveset, more damage (All Piercing) better scaling (Dex, it's a Dexterity Hammer) and you can even Sharp infuse it if you want to. Still guardbreaks as a hammer. Also, really really easy to get. (Just past the first Official on the same level as the Battle Ax, but below that. So, the second official if you're also grabbing the Crushing Ax.)

I know you commented this a year ago but i think it's funny so I'm gonna comment it. I'm a souls vet but never played demons souls and recently i decided to dive into it but I'm emulating it to play it on pc and i gotta say that in the original demons souls, THESE BACKSTAB HITBOXES ARE AWFULLL

​@@carrops I just started on ps3 cuz I don't have a ps5 yet. Can confirm backstab is the worst of any souls game. I've missed backstabs that I clearly had and gotten some that I wasn't even going for! Also attacking forward momentum gets close to killing me when next to cliffs. Still happy to be playing finally though as a very like yourself.

I dont know why barely anyone does that but you can do high dmg with bare fists on the skeleton knights in storm.

Blunt weapons do high damage to the skeletons, which the fist weapons are. Same if you use a club!

Getting blunt weapon early really helps with those skeletons that otherwise required upgraded weapons and more stats boosts - not so easy to come by early

They do! The remake added a couple rings that aren't in the original, as well as a secret armor set, but other than those, everything is identical and in all the same places.

The Fluted Helm can only be obtained after defeating Vanguard in the tutorial, so you only have one chance to get it. If you die to Vanguard, you can't ever get the helm on that character, you'd have to start a fresh character and play through the tutorial again. The rest of the armor is the starting set for the Knight class, which can be found in Tower of Latria level 3-1 on a corpse on the first floor. When you get to the big ball of corpses shooting magic, walk passed it and then take a left so you walk down a pathway with a row of cells. At the end of that path, you'll see the corpse with the armor on it.

You'll need to practice parrying, or get a mace weapon at the very least. Skeleton enemies are weak against blunt and crushing weapons.

I can help you. Message back this replies or you can just make a run for it, the trap in the hallway under the bridge u can out run if sprinting. If you can kill first 2 skeleton it's almost certain you can grab the weapon.
