My guess was always that they were Bright missionaries, going out to recruit and collect ghouls looking for a safe place

Looking at the locations of the bodies i will assume that majority of them were part of one large group. Probably part of Bright's followers who fled the REPCONN facility instead of locking themselves in the control room. Now, i don't know what they were after but it seems like their initial destination was Camp Searchlight. Maybe they wanted to live in an irradiated place in peace, maybe they wanted to scour for parts or maybe they wanted to ask NCR's assistance (as one of the few groups who can tolerate ghouls). It seems one of them got impatient and chose the short, dangerous route. They got killed by Vipers. Most chose the safer route through mountains. All seemed well until they were ambushed by the Legion. One stayed there since by the billboard. Either Legion gave chase or they were atacked by the Vipers after retreating but one more Bright follower fell that day. The rest were pushed through Primm pass. The passage was brutal. One got killed right there, in the Primm pass. The other was killed not too far, at the electric tower. One died as well. Later coyoties dragged the body into their den. Later survivors split up for some reason. Maybe they were ambushed again, but now by Powder Gangers. Maybe they disagreed where to go next. In any case two went north and one south. The one who went south probably wanted to go back to California through Mojave Outpost. Their body now rests at the Nipton Pit-stop. The two others were not lucky either. The two of them died, most probably by Powder Gangers. The coyoties then took the body of one of them into the Goodsprings Cave. The other still rots under the bridge. Now when i think about it, their story probably even more tragic as a group then just random lost scoured ghouls. They just wanted to flee the violance and danger of the wasteland, first as a flock of Bright's followers, then as a refugees from supermutant attack. Instead the Wasteland scattered their remains into the wind.

I think they were lost getting TO the repconn facility, After all the facility was their destination so they could go to the "Great Beyond"

I just learned that the JSawyer mod respawns all these Bright Followers and has them attack you in a group. Seems kind of out character with how the rest of the Followers act.

Very strange. Could be a bug, there's a few corpses around the map that resurrects and attacks you if you wait long enough, like the "burned bodies" at the tribal village or whatever that place is called.

@@MisterJohnDoe Not with JSawyer mod since it's considered Director's Cut edition of the game and lots of in-game material is reused in a way it was intended. However, in vanilla game it's a common bug. Scripted dead npcs respawn with 0 hp after you return to same places and are either hostile or neutral.

Guess it's just a weird feeling of seeing them nearly each time i make a new character... isn't there one near the brotherhood of steel desert, in the canyons where there are a lot or radscorpions ? probably just dead caravan members
