I disagree with this statement. The search results are based on an algorithm that is returning the same results for the same given input dataset. Crystal intelligence would be given a deeper understanding of the same dataset how would you weight the results differently. So it gets to your second point about fluid intelligence combining or sorting but I think that part would be 2nd. Like you wouldn't have to sort what was already down-weighted automatically. It'd be like if 50% of people were flat Earthers so Google returns that as a top link but the historian knows (without consciously sorting) that the link is trash. Like think Amygdala-level "Flat Earth BAD" speed of cognition. The fluid intelligence for the historian might be in how they want to apply (like you said) and combine information on say an article about when the earth being flat was debunked worldwide.

My advice to people as someone studying in cognitive science: Don't immediately trust any of your scores. There are far too many variables to take into account that could raise or lower your intelligence scores that have nothing to do with intelligence. For example, many psychological disorders can affect your score, and if you weren't displaying those symptoms, you could easily score higher. If you're someone who gets anxious while taking tests, an IQ or another intelligence test will only result in the same, and that can impact your score and be unrelated to your real intelligence. Tests, in general, are not a perfect way of measuring someone's abilities in anything, as again, anxiety during the test could be the explanation for your score. Really, we have no good, reliable way of measuring intelligence right now. And sure, these intelligence scores are correlated with having more success, but it may not have anything to do with intelligence either. As I already pointed out, mental disorder could affect your score. But mental disorder can also affect how successful you are in life. Keep in mind any correlation you hear about intelligence and any other variable could simply be a spurious correlation. And given that humans innately have many different variables between us, we can't really perform a true experiment where every single variable is taken into account in order to verify that intelligence affects success or other variables we've found it to be correlated with. Once more, something else could be causing both the decrease in intelligence and the change in the other variable you found intelligence to be correlated with.

Yup, I have autism, anxiety, depression, adhd, ocd, sensory defensiveness / sensory sensitivity and I might be forgetting a few things but yeah and I get so stressed that (this is what my neurologist said ) my subconscious stress is the cause of my legs randomly giving out on me as well as one time at work but it was my entire body (he did not classify it as a seizure because I was fully conscience and could see everything throughout the whole thing). Sorry for the tangent there, but yeah it's a good thing I get b's or c's on most of my work in college.

@@neelamkhalil4120 Apologies for getting to you late. I must have missed the notification youtube would have sent me, but got the one from Stevonie above so thought I should reply to you. To be quite honest, there are many different *possible* ways to deal with anxiety, and in particular, test anxiety. Some may be useless for you on an individual level, some may be somewhat effective, and others may be perfect for you. Without knowing you as an individual, I can't say what methods will work. I can tell you what has actually worked for me, but I'm, of course, different from you so don't necessarily try this out and if it fails, don't immediately give up. It may take a while to figure out what works for you. That said, I will preface this with something: Normally psychology is the area we go to for dealing with anxiety, but I would say, in many ways, philosophy can help too. This was the case for me. While if you look this "philosophy" up on the web, it won't appear to be an official one academia recognizes and it may even seem trollish, but I actually found a lot of worth in it lol. It's called "Apathyology". To sum it up, it's a philosophy, or way of thinking, where a person decides to be apathetic to things that don't matter in the long-run. You teach yourself to realize "This test actually isn't as important as I think. If I fail it, the worst that happens is I have to take it a again in X amount of time. It's not a huge deal, I have many years of life ahead of me". But yeah, it teaches the only things you should care about are those which actually matter in the long-run: Family, the earth's environment, friends, your health, etc. And although you should care about these things, you shouldn't do so *too much* to the point you'd harm others or yourself over these topics for little reason. Now, certainly this philosophy needs a lot of caution though. As it pertains to school, you don't want to develop so much of an apathetic attitude that you stop trying. Bettering yourself, itself, is a long-run cause that will have lasting effects. So to continue to study, gain knowledge, and better yourself in academic areas is something with long-run effects for the entire course of your life. But as it pertains to that one test, it doesn't matter in the entire course of one's life, at least not to the same degree. And while you're focusing on the long-run things(studying and furthering your education), it goes towards that immediate goal of that test you have to or want to take. But yeah, the root of anxiety is the fact you *cared* about something so much you let it bother you and get you worked up and worried over something that really doesn't have as much of a long-term effect as you think. I'm someone who was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder myself, but have found this philosophy to really keep it under control. Some things that can help you keep the philosophy in mind are: 1) Meditating and deep breathing exercises. It's good to take deep breaths in the moment of an anxiety episode, as it helps bring more oxygen to the brain and may calm you down. Then you're able to think more logically and remind yourself of apathyology(or some other philosophy/idea you like that helps with anxiety) 2) Counting backwards slowly from 20(aloud or in your head, whichever is better) during the anxiety episode. It focuses your mind on something else other than what is bothering you at that moment. 3) Particularly for tests, try to replicate the testing environment during your studies. It helps a lot for memory and keeping oneself calm if they studied the material in a place the mind deems as similar to where you take the test. 4) Try to talk your mind into reason. If you can, try to have a "conversation" in your head where you're trying to bring up how it's illogical to be worried about the topic at hand to the degree you are. If it's not something that matters a lot in the long run, remind yourself that. If you studied a lot for a test, remind yourself that you did, and there's no reason to fear failing since you already did your best. If it is something that matters in the long-run, just remind yourself you can only do your best, and worrying about it may simply make it worse anyways. 5) There's an app called "Headspace" that I really like. It works really well at calming me down when I'm anxious 6) Hypnosis(don't underestimate it, it can be effective at relieving your worry). Lots of things out there that can help. These are just a few but there are plenty more out there. And don't give up if one of these doesn't work for you. Keep trying other methods, maybe even see a professional like a psycho-therapist or something. Lots of people see them even mentally healthy people do if they feel particularly stressed over a situation like we all get from time-to-time. So don't think it makes you crazy to see one.

@@amykelley666 Anxiety is to me a fear based response. Thats why many of us compete in combat sports, or extreme activities of some sort or another. Face the fear enough times and it goes away is the theory. I know that the philosophy of not caring too much as I'm charging a corner with aggression at 190+mph doesn't actually improve my performance significantly. I know what I always feel before the flag drops or the bell rings or I hit the edge of the waterfall or whatever is a sickness in the stomach sometimes for days. But then when it matters, and its ON, I feel nothing, its like I'm not even there, everything is in slow motion and its over, I win. No thoughts, no feelings, no time hardly even passes. That is always how I perform at my best, in a sort of flow state. With that being said I got nervous and could only come up with twenty decent creative uses for a red brick in 5 minutes lol. If there had been no timer or pressure to beat the girl, (Which I did) I'll bet I would have done significantly better. So "Apathythogy" up until "Flow state" activation?

I say that’s intelligence the ability to apply and try

True, due to the fact that artificial intelligence can measure IQ and outnumber every human by far. In cases of IQ related work, every AI will be quicker and better than humans could ever be, but we humans have other abilities and methods that IQ alone can't compensate, so emotional intelligence is basically the foundation.

I mean yeah learning is an individuals battle but I would go as far as saying that the person with the lower IQ has better chances at thriving compared to someone with a higher IQ because believe it or not you need to be pretty Low IQ to choose to not give up and keep pushing your limits, while you need to be pretty high IQ to understand your limits and stop mid way through becaue you are a high IQ that can't handle failure. Unfortunately people deemed to have high IQ are usually people that gives up pretty fast unlike the low IQ that are used to failure and keep working hard. Its all about choice and it doesn't matter if you are LOW or HIGH IQ, the person that does not give up will become happy and successful no matter what.

@@samvision98 that's a stereotypical view on iq For instances I scored 130 on several iq tests And I can assure you that any normal guy won't even pass 15 questions from one of them(there are 40 questions) It all comes down to personality If you are determined you will find other ways as a high iq person Like me personally I have a hidden ego, to be better than anyone else. Those are stereotypical views Are you even a high iq individual?

But yeah I agree that personality play a role in that whole thing.
@morusha

@@UCHRickyDebbarma It shows how stereotypical your thinking is. I scored over 140 and am a member of 2 national Mensas, yet I don't consider myself superior to others. I also confirm that since it has always been easy for me to pick things up, I tend to struggle when I don't have an immediate solution or am not instantly great at something. People who work hard and are disciplined to develop despite hardships may achieve so much more than a gifted person, as we may get lousy when things suddently don't go our way, and I'm comfortable to recognize it. And it's important to strive to be objective with yourself, otherwise your IQ 130 serves no purpose other than delusions about your perceived greatness.

Probably original author of that test means 10-15 minutes. 6 seconds ... you can just type some thash. e.g. put brick into microwave... but for what practical reason? Nevermind you just have some new idea. But that does not make you creative genius, that make you noise maker.
