@@hinrik5763 I believe you are missing the point (if you were serious enough to care about one). Body building today is inferior because of the drugs. Too many crutches, not enough hard training combining proven old school techniques, eating, training and a balance of tested and proven drug regimens. The conveniences and shortcuts of today ruined the sport.

He torn his bicep making his arm horribly smaller and disfigured. Plus he was known for not having great arms as well as not having a great chest which are two major must have body parts that put high points on the scoring cards.he had great legs and condition but so did many others.the back at that time was his greatest and most talked about body part but isn't it a bodybuilding contest not a body part contest?in the history of controversial bodybuilding contest he has 4 of them.i know he has a huge fan base and he can do no wrong in their eyes but between the damaged arm and his gut started to get bigger making him the Godfather of bring the gut into the game ,he never should have won the last 3 to 4 Mr Olympias.Nasser had him beat, except for his die hard fans ,everyone especially the crowd knows this as well as,Kevin, Ray and wheeler. Say Ray was too small lol, that's one if the biggest jokes. Shawn with his mass and condition(which is what its all about ) had about one of the most even complete physics to stand on the stage. these were the pioneers of what we know as "modern bodybuilding" but there was still an element of beauty to it - before it was as big as you can get - look at flex, kevin, lee priest, - then dorian and ronnie - because they were pushing into new territory, the sport changed slightly - i remember watching this on espn back in the day and looking at dorian's back and thinking "holy ****" how is that even possible = yeah a bit of juice sure but consistency, hard work, dedication, and striving to be the best - as the man himself said "i knew i was ready at four weeks out but i wasn't going for dominant, i wanted to be a STAND OUT" - what an ERA

Every decade brought new stars of bodybuilding, the 50's with Larry Scott, then the 60's with Sergio, the 70's with Arnold, and then the 80's with Lee. But the 90's did not just bring one star, but brought a new line of superstars of bodybuilding, to a level never seen before. Striations, definition and conditioning, combined with mass. The greatest bodybuilders whose physiques have stood the test are from the 90s. Haney, Yates Ronnie, Flex, Shawn, Kevin, Nasser, Priest...these names just scratch the surface of the extremely stacked talents of the 90's era. In an effort to bet bigger and bigger, we have disformed behemoths today, alas.
