Just a tip, a really good way to remove old wheel weight stickers, is by using a rubber decal wheel attachment for a drill. Does no harm to the finish, and takes it off super easily. Food for thought in the future!

The wheel/caliper combo is very clean. I’d consider slapping on some coated brake rotors at minimum if you’re not going to go all out. For this caliber of build it’d be a shame to see some rust brown rotor hats behind those beautiful wheels, just my 2cents. Keep up the good work!

Your content is awesome. You motivate me daily. The work I do on my evo is better/cleaner because of you. I look forward to every video. I lost my Dad a few years ago...he was my go to guy for questions and advice. You have been a great influence on me. I dont know you but feel like you are a great buddy just by watching your evo builds. Thanks for what you do. It means more than you know. Matt

Hey just a little tip…. When you’re removing a tire from the rim and it has a TMPS sensor, you want the sensor placed behind the head of tire machine so it doesn’t break when the tire is coming off fully.

This is by far your classiest build. So different to your builds in the past as they are usually alot more flashy. My favourite build yet! All your choices have just been perfect and the attention to detail is brilliant ❤️

Brother, get a box fan, a furnace air filter that is like a 8 or 9 rating and just tape it to the back of the fan. Point the fan away from you while PC'ing and it will trap the powder in filter. this should help cut down on the mess you talk about when PC'ing. I do it when I spray paint in my garage.

Wheel and caliper color choices are PERFECT man. Super clean. With a loud color like yellow, you need to keep the ancillary parts colored a neutral, and you nailed it 👌🏻
@cr1mzun879 Жыл бұрын
you should look into desmond regamaster evo 2’s, those look insane on 8’s and 9’s. they would look insane in an aluminum/brushed finish on the yellow 8

You can buy an assistant arm to reduce the risk of damaging the rim. It's very good for low profile tires. Also get some edge rubber protector to help

I do love the whole combo of everything. Im surprised you didn't powder coat the rotors at all to help from any rust, also if you want just a smidge more contrast maybe hold a red decal up to the rotors. it would give it an APracing brake look or nickel plated brembo look from motorcycles

Dude, you didnt add the directional brembo half-shim over the top of the pads full shim. If you get any squealing, be sure to re add them on top of the full shim, per mitsu/brembo service guides . This was the problem on both my old evo 5 and 8mr years back. Squealing and missing from both cars and found nothing but brake lube there trying to circumvent.
@_Machine631_ Жыл бұрын
that color combo is very subtle. the yellow is very out there so I wouldn't want an out there in your face accent color. I would for sure powder the rotor hats black so they dont start showing surface rust after a lttle bit.

Just my opinion, I mean everything is subjective, but I believe the darker color wheel on a yellow car can only be appreciated up close, pictures, and video will not do it justice, probably why white wheel on yellow works on pictures and video 😊😊😊 love the work... much love from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦

Hey Devin, would you mind sharing the torque specs for the bolts keeping the calipers half’s together? I’m currently also refurbishing the Brembos on my Evo 8 and can’t find them online… Apart from that I think the grey on the calipers was the right call, they look very clean!
