Daylight Savings Time is one giant Abilene Paradox!
@rencom14 жыл бұрын
The Abilene "paradox" is not actually a paradox; it illustrates an innocent example of how easily we can fall into a trap of agreeing to something that does not "really" exist-in this case, a group desire to take a trip. Our shared reality is a set of agreements we have made-some with awareness; others, not. It has been said that the vast majority of us humans are in various stages of hypnosis. We are at the mercy of those who know how to manipulate the power of agreement.

It actually starts out "Hey, anyone want to go to Abilene and get lunch at the cafeteria?" The point is that the originator of the idea didn't really want to go, but was willing to go if others wanted to.

Growing up in West Texas near Abilene, there are no tall pine trees nearby. Maybe a more authentic looking video to illustrate this important point?
