John Explanation is fantastic. Objectives should be significant, concrete, action-oriented, inspirational. key results are specific and time-bound, aggressive but realistic, measurable and verifiable. OKR's are important for individuals as wells as organizations.

What a OUTSTANDING piece of knowledge, I wouldn't had a clear understand of OKR until now. I just found myself keeping my head-down and not getting my goals clearly defined for what, why and how. The passion Bono related too, made me reflex, exam, and restructure what my passion is and with my head-up I can ignite my passion to Keep Moving Forward with a greater passion for what is on the horizon.

We don't know what the result is until we define the objective. Here John demonstrates how great leaders were able to clearly use OKR. It is inspiring when a human being has the goal of changing the world, that is to dream big.

I have been using OKRs at my org for a year now. I strongly recommend them. The great value i get out of them is the fact they force you to keep what's important in mind and work every week to progress towards those goals. Every Monday I'm reminded the 9 reasons my department is working that week and what should be done concretely in the following 5 days. The focus on what matters is key

Before you can achieve anything in life, first you have to know what you want, set your goal and make it happen. The power in goal setting is believed to lie in the articulation of the difference between where we are now and where we want to be.

Dear Mr. Doer, Im a single Father, determined to leave a legacy for my children, by establishing a blueprint of how others can acheive their dreams, by simply letting go of the everyday norm, and pouring the passion into a territorial leap of faith. However, my biggest obstacle has been, my floating ability, in which I invent the hows to possibly thrive in the city life, with less passion, compared to thriving in a rural, desert like environment, where all the why's and what's are so more apparent. Having more than one talent, sometimes seems to be more of a disadvantage. I talk myself into toughing it out in the city, where jobs and resources are more abundant, but the focus on the quality of life, becomes more of a blur. Although the majority of my goals are inner-twined, as they share equal values and similar in origin, they are all based on one large why. That why is everything I've learned and live for, wrapped up in a pschadelic, geographical compound, a place where all these talents meet, and yet my faith and confidence, as inspiring as they may be, have often been intercepted by the physical where I am now thoughts. I know the whats, and why's, but the damn hows have turned confusing, with no warning, especially when my economical resources are at their highest. What is my problem, and why is it so difficult for me to choose the one goal and initiate that action, then build from there? I need an answer to how I'm going to graduate to this self reliant doer, that seizes the rocky paths in a bobcat tractor, and drops that container on my his land, and continues to build, with energy and purpose, following the how, regardless of what others may not conceive or visualize in the manor that I do. I do believe in my ability to aceive any reasonable goal, and I am very passionate, filled with simplicity, that sometimes, inspite of how easy I draft my agenda, it becomes overwhelming to exercise. It's really ridiculous, especially knowing, the time is now. Are you still there? signed, My Foggy How

I will take what has been imparted to me through this and draw strongly from it for my better. Thanks for having already been down that path whereby you can point me and others in the right direction toward success I applaud you. Objectives: Raise some small capital. Find the top 1-3 use cases my product offers that digital creators are hungry for. Use that to position myself in the market and hold that position. Define exactly what the target customer looks like and go after them with prospecting. Follow up with leads and make sales. Delegate better.
