I have never been religious nor had any use for it, and I've never had a "God shaped hole" in me. I get meaning from plenty of other things. I imagine what he says applies to plenty of people, just not everyone.

Yea but how long does that meaning last in the things of the world. Both heaven and earth will eventually pass away but His words will never pass away.

I'd rather not see disturbing clickbait thumbnails from you in my youtube.

The god shaped hole is nothing more than a religious minded person's reflected egoism; and that being devoid of substence the feeling of emptiness follows. Such empty hole can be filled with anything of substence, but religion being the most lazy form of filling such hole, along with their long running and pervasive marketing program, tends to be used most often. But, religion, having no substence of its own, works only so long as the person never seeks to critically examine it, but provides all the ego stroking necessary to never have to feel the hole still to be empty.

@@scottcates then you should appreciate this: excerpts from Nietzche "the antichrist". Theological blood is the ruin of philosophy. Upon this theological instinct I make war. I find the tracks of it everywhere. Whoever has theological blood in his veins is shift and dishonorable in all things. In other words, the pathetic thing that grows out of this condition is called faith, closing ones eyes upon oneself once for all to avoid the sight of incurable falsehood...I unearthed this theological instinct in all directions. It is the most widespread and most subterranian form of falsehood to be found on earth. Whatever a theological regards as true must be false. There, you almost have a criterion of truth. Under Christianity, neither morality nor religion has any point of contact with actuality Or from a great book called "Twilight of the idols", --Nietzche The first adherence to a creed is: do not prove anything against it. (Only I would add, "or even acknowledge" were such statement given in consideration of fundamentalists, evangelicals, and apologists) Fancy humanity having to take the brain diseases of morbid cobweb spinners seriously, and it has paid dearly for having done so. The same means, castration and exterpation are instinctively chosen to waging war against the passion by those too week of will, too degenerate to impose some sort of moderation upon it...only degenerates find radical methods indispensable. Weakness of will, or more strictly, the inability not to react to a stimulus, is in itself simply another form of degeneracy....the most poisonous diatribes against the senses have not been said by the impotent nor by the ascetics, but by those impossible ascetics--by those who found it necessary to be ascetics.

@@scottcates or perhaps take some wisdom from the father of Rationalism, he who they call "drunk on god"... Spinoza -- theologico politicus All the potents ever invested with the reverence of misguided religion are mere phantoms of dejected and fearful minds. Superstitions...can only be maintained by hope, anger, hatred and deceit, since it springs not from reason but solely from the most powerful phases of emotion. CURTIIUS ...Trying to show further that the God that they worships arranged the whole of nature for their sole benefit. This idea was so pleasing to humanity that men go on to this day imagining miracles so that they may believe themselves God's favorites and the final cause for which God created and directs all things. What pretention people in their folly won't advance? They have no single sound idea concerning god or nature. They confound gods decrees with human decrees. They conceive nature as so limited that they believe man to be its chief part.

What shape does an imaginary mythological figure have? The only thing missing from my life since ditching belief in a fantasy is frustration. I am no longer frustrated in my inability to find and communicate with a fairytale figure.

As somewhat of a protester myself I can confirm that the "repeated shouting of something" only happens on protests against religion. It has never happened and will never happen at protests of any other kind. ... Ever. Also not at sports-events, political rallies, parades, concerts ...

Religion is literally shouting things repeatedly

Religion is literally a dream come true, the release from the fear of death, but you have to be sound asleep to believe it.
