Part of some hard driving teens growing up in a small town in central CA in the 80s we'd be drunk and wasted but always tune in to the MDJr show when it was broadcast at like midnight or 1am Saturdays, I think it was. It predated all the shock/confrontational turns that most talk shows took much later. We'd be laughing half the time agreeing half the time rolling at all the sermonizing high as kites ourselves, always loving the unabashed arguments and stupidity on display all around.
