Thanks for the presentation. Some users have said that Go Pro Hero5 Black has overheating problems in the sunny summer days. It goes, but it gets very hot so you can not keep it in your hand. So I came and watched/liked your video earlier but I just thought of something and had to come back. You say anything over 1600 ISO delivers unusable footage. I was using it last night and didn't really think using ISO 3200-5400 introduced more noise than I was getting at 1600 (maybe it did, I didn't notice). So my question is this: If I was using the camera at night and 1600 ISO wasn't delivering bright enough footage would you suggest dropping the frame rate first to see if that helped? If that doesn't work should I adjust the EV or the shutter speed first?
@RehaAlev8 жыл бұрын
+NastyNate 204 I would try to anything other than raising the ISO beyond 1600. First lower frame rate (will not make a huge difference) and then shutter and EV. If you shoot in lowlight often, I would invest in NeatVideo.

I'd like to take advantage of using 2.7k video with 60fps, due to the high resolution. But would you suggest using 1080p at 120fps for slow motion?? Is it really that much of a difference??

Josh Cook yes, slow-mo always in 1080p and 120fps when editing on a 1080 timeline.
@TravelingWithKiwi7 жыл бұрын
Hi Reha, when you shoot in FLAT you have more flexibility when doing color correction later. So why not shooting at 60 fps in low light condition?
@RehaAlev7 жыл бұрын
Not sure I understand the question. I have said in the video that if you are after a certain look you should be using FLAT, but for most users, I don't think its needed. If you are color grading your shots, I am sure you don't need me telling you to shoot in FLAT. You know that already. I try to avoid newbies set it to FLAT, just because someone told them so, and then don't know what to do after. To your second point the sensor has only half the frames to expose in 30fps vs 60fps, which allows slightly more time for exposing the video. This is what the camera does itself when set accordingly. Its not ha huge difference but still....

Hi Reha, thanks for the info. I am brand new to the GoPro. Firstly, is it worth it for an African Safari if I already have a camera, iphone etc. Secondly, what accessories (like head strap?) are a must? Lastly, the settings that you mentioned (I am NTSC) - Resolution of 2.7 K? (I have only 1440, 1080, 720) and same with FPS etc. What am I missing? Anyone please?
@an59987 жыл бұрын
Vikas Bhatnagar I would get the GoPro hat with the mount on it, it looks better than the head strap that makes you look like Bane from Batman. If you have the money definitely get the karma grip it makes the videos look so smooth it’s like a movie. It’s definitely a good camera to have while traveling.

Nice video so I have a question I have a go Pro five black I'm following along with the settings of 2.7 K but I don't see 25 frames per second option, I cad 60 48, 30 & 24 and I don't see the 50 frames per second option am I missing something?
@RehaAlev8 жыл бұрын
Airborne Works your camera is set to NTSC, which is the standard for the US. I set my camera to PAL which is the standard for most of the rest of the world. NTSC is 30 fps, PAL is 25. You can either choose 30 or 60 instead of me 25 or 50. All's fine.
@airborneworks61038 жыл бұрын
thanks Man I thought I was going nuts not able to find it I will look up the difference between the two as now I'm curious why there is not one standard... Nice video by the way!!

for the sharpness, if at a low setting, if the image becomes blurry or smooth? why should be set low? why not high?
@RehaAlev8 жыл бұрын
it will be softer, allowing you to increase sharpness in editing. Not every shot needs the same amount of sharpness, so better to leave it low and adjust in post as needed.
@HaruwnTiano248 жыл бұрын
reha, do you have a video review sharpness low, medium, and high? may I ask whether you contact? there are a few things I would like to question about gopro hero 5: D
@rolithesecond8 жыл бұрын
contrast is usually achieved by tracing outlines in the picture and then increasing the difference in brightness between the two points on this edge, one to darker, one to brighter. mostly, doing this in post is better because the post production can spend more processing power on this and therefore do it cleaner than the camera. additionally, you can control how much you want to increase the contrast and also the radius of the contrast.

Reha Alev no, that only works for photos, not video. Anyway, I figured it out, you need to use the GoPro app settings, not on camera preferences. Click on Sutter and set to Auto to activate, then select a Manual Shutter. Go to ISO settings, you will now see 100, select that and you're done. Just make sure your shutter speed hasn't changed. Good luck and use this trick well. 😉
