This was so helpful to get a “real feel” for swimming with the pigs! Thanks for sharing

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I wanted to give a good depiction of what to expect. There are so many tours like this offered but none match this experience so I wanted to represent it correctly. Thanks for watching!

Hey thanks man…I’m not sure how my hiking audience will appreciate these but it’s a cool experience nonetheless

Loved your video, Just booked for next month I cant wait! How long was the boat ride from Nassau?
@TheNotLostNomad10 ай бұрын
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you love it as much as we did. The boat ride is about 30 minutes long…and it’s a beautiful ride.

Awesome video! We’re cruising soon and considering this but the only thing is all aboard time is 4:30 and arrival back to paradise island is 3:45 😬
@TheNotLostNomad11 ай бұрын
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! Yeah that’s a close gap but you’d be fine as long as you secure good transport back to the ship. We had our taxi driver meet us at the arranged time. It’s a short drive…maybe 7-8 minutes away.

What if you’re scared of snorkelling and deep water? Do you get to leave the group to go to the Sandy beach first or painfully have to watch the group which seems to be the case in most tours…thanks!
@TheNotLostNomad2 ай бұрын
No worries! you do not have to snorkel at all. You can go directly to the beach and start enjoying the views and the pigs. My wife skipped the snorkeling. If I went again I would go directly to the beach.

Hi! Love the video! This looks way better than the Swimming with the Pigs package through RC. I'm planning a trip there end of this year, did you take a taxi from the cruise port to paradise island ferry terminal?
@TheNotLostNomad10 ай бұрын
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. We had many friend do the RC tour and they did not care for it. This one is a lot of fun though. And yes…we taxied to and from the ferry terminal beside the bridge and it was $5 a person.
@patriciakenyon95569 ай бұрын
how do you go about getting a taxi to get to the ferry terminal? I guess I am a bit nervous planning something not with the cruise ship but if I am going to pay money I want to get my moneys worth! Would Sandy Toes help with figuring out taxi and ferry times? @@TheNotLostNomad

My husband and I already booked with RC one. Can you tell me what your friends didn’t like about it? Nothing I can do about it at this point but like to know as much info as possible. I should have thought to look for info on you tube before booking the excursion. Thanks for a great video!

Hi, while on Rose island where you were are there massage services?
@TheNotLostNomad6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no massage services at this beach. There were plenty of hammocks spread throughout the property to relax in though.

What time was boarding back to the Royal Carribean?
@TheNotLostNomad11 ай бұрын
You know I can’t remember the exact time but I feel like we returned around 3:30…and all aboard was at 4:30. But that would depend on your ship and your cruise itinerary…so I’d be sure to double check the timing.

Is it safe to swim with pigs considering the germs idk .. but I do love rose island
@TheNotLostNomad11 ай бұрын
I never felt like there was any issue…they are very well taken care of here. These pigs seemed more like pets than your typical farm pig.

What time do they take you back to Nassau?
@TheNotLostNomad Жыл бұрын
Ehhh…honestly can’t remember. I know that I compared the return time to our cruise ship to make sure we had plenty of time. This tours typically works well with most cruises but I’d double check your make sure. (If you are cruising)
@theressaunders294510 ай бұрын
You will be back on Paradise Island at 3.45pm and from there is a 10-15 min taxi ride to the cruise port.

No I booked through Viator, but later realized that it’s cheaper through the Sandy Toes website.

What camera/setup do you use to film the underwater scenes? Great video!
@TheNotLostNomad9 ай бұрын
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! I use a GoPro 11 with an external mic and a media mod kit for the regular shots and an older basic GoPro 5 for my underwater shots. I’m post edit I add in the reds to my color to mimic a red filter…it cools down the blues and helps see the color like your eyes do. Hope this helps!

A woman was violently attacked and killed by sharks doing this excursion years ago.
@TheNotLostNomad6 ай бұрын
Yes, I hated to hear about that. This was our 3rd trip here. I remember seeing it on the news. Don’t let that deter you from coming here though. They do not snorkel out in the area where the attack took place…in fact there are no tour companies that go out there anymore. It happened by one of the smaller islands just north east of Rose Island. Today they only snorkel on the south side and have never seen any shark activity there. Also, they have everyone wear these bracelets that emit a signal that’s used as a shark deterrent. The company has done a good job making this as safe as possible.
