I disliked when Ryan Stiles started appearing regularly. He brought too much American dull humour. As opposed to sharp.

Before Peter Cook opened his mouth I was grinning. The first world I was laughing.

If I remember correctly, Peter Cook did brilliantly in the warm-up before the show but then had a tad too much to drink during the break and was quite visibly worse for wear in the studio. Maybe that's why that was his only appearance.
