I don't know about Jaco pastorious. Jaco took more of a lead role as opposed to supportive. Mono is playing much more subdued and supportive on this track. I prefer his covers of knower songs where he is making more of an upfront statement, flipping the script w his bass being more like a lead instrument like the great jaco did w joni mitchell. More melody less bottom. I also love monos own music.This is mono playing super controlled. his covers of knower songs are more more closer to Jacos outside the box support the bottom while taking more of a lead melodic approach.

I'm an older guy and musician who grew up listening to Frank Zappa and I remember how many people didn't appreciate how incredible his music was until way after he had left us.....
