American accent??? Strange that the first word..."Academyah" is not Hebrew at all..but..Greek perhaps? They couldn't create a name that was totally Hebrew!? I always thought it was called "Va'ad Halashon" obviously I was in error. Still I wish the best for them in their new building!

The Va‘ad LeLashon predates the Academy for The Hebrew Language, and there is nothing wrong is loanwords, some of the words in the Hebrew bible itself are, but there need to be a balance, proportions, and loanwords feet when we don't have a good Hebrew equivalent or an international word is preferable, especially if it fits the grammar and rules of the language.
