It's also an argument that you don't need to specify, except in situations when it's important. Trans men are "just men" too, most of the time and for most situations. But when it's necessary to make a distinction between cis and trans people, those words are available to give any explanations that may be required.

I was at a coffee shop the other day and the barista was not sure of my gender. I am non-binary and I look very fluid. She said " What will you have friend?" I was very impressed! The trans fish reminded me of a wholesome interaction I had at work. A young girl was checking out LBGT+ children's books and I told her about how we were hosting a pride art event at the library. We were also giving out paper fish for kids to color. She proceeded to show me her lesbian flag fish and said "You guys won't throw it away?" I told her absolutely not and that all the fish can get along even though their all different. It was such a heartwarming moment to see how happy being accepted made her

Slight side note, it bugs me when transphobes say men and women are born as men and women. They start as *babies*. To be fair I got really confused when all this came out? English class for me was a LONG time ago and it wasnt til a friend who is autistic reminded me about Gender NEUTRAL pronouns, that it was like all the puzzle pieces finally fit. You want a gender neutral pronoun perhaps because you are not comfortable giving them more information yet or you just don't want to describe yourself any other way. I kept thinking, if someone had told me that from the beginning, I wouldn't have been so confused. Some Gen Xers cant remember their English Grammar Classes, we aren't being assholes on purpose, be patient, we get there in the end ;)

Ha ha ha, these remind me of an exchange I actually had with a kid at my library job a while ago. I'm AFAB nonbinary, present very masculine but I'm not on HRT so my voice is still feminine. The kiddo was asking me to help her find a book and initially "sir'd" me until I started talking, where she swapped to "miss." After we got the book she wanted, she very frankly told me "You know when you look like that people won't be able to tell if you're a boy or a girl" and I replied with equal frankness, "Yes, I do that on purpose."

5:27 going to always say this to the day I freaking- genderreveals were started by a woman who was celebrating finally getting pregnant after several unfortunate miscarriages. It wasn't supposed to be this Forest destroying life-ending thing, and she is horrified about what it has become. The gender reveal was a simple cake. On top of that, it was later revealed that her child was actually non-binary. So you know what she did? She threw a *_second_* gender reveal party for her non-binary child. To say that gender reveals are pointless is to say that birthdays are pointless. Quick story of my own past ignorance. Before I took an active role in learning about transitioning I was SO confused if "trans man/woman" was for pre or post transition. I was so nervous of getting it wrong I basically avoided it all together. Then someone I know came out and I dove deep to learn all the right things. I know this isn't accidental allyship, per say, but when I was in my tech training program we had a self-defense class we could optionally sign up for, and, on a whim, I signed up for the men's self-defense class. It was a bit awkward, because I'm not far into transitioning, but when the big dude in the class came over to practice with me we went through the drills without a word spoken or a singular moment of hesitation. I had that guy in a headlock until the instructor told us to swap to another exorcise, and that moment's always stuck with me because in the face of a group of awkward young adult men he accepted me right into the group and put me through the paces with no awkwardness at all. Probably one of the first moments where I felt like I really fit in and found my people.

They can't possibly be so scientifically backwards they can't detect the variation from cis women so they obviously just went (in their language) "that one's a woman, that one's a man. Grab them." Posted this on another accidental allies video but I'll share my story here too. So I'm nonbinary, and this is back when I was still going by my deadname. My search engine is connected to a news site, and at the time I didn't know how to disable it. Looking back the news site was very far right in terms of beliefs, and a lot of stuff about trans people was very negative. So one day there was this article about one (can't remember what it was about unfortunately) and I decided to go into the article's comments and defend the person since a lot of people were being hateful. This one person must've thought I was transfem (I'm AFAB) and replied to my comment, calling me Kenny instead of my now deadname. So anyways I now go by the name Ken out of spite. Like, you can have a lot of janky shit happen with genetics. Autism can be caused by any of various mutated traits. Non-deleterious (high-functioning) cases of autism were passed down by both carriers and those who expressed the trait outright over the course of millennia, so now it's distributed across the human population. There are some people with XX chromosomes with testes. The SRY gene is literally the one thing on the Y chromosome that's necessary for testicular development, and it essentially activates several autosomal genes so that certain proteins that regulate fetal development are produced sufficiently to promote solely testicular development. The SRY gene is occasionally translocated onto an X chromosome, and when meiosis happens, now you have a sperm cell whose embryo will produce testes with an X chromosome instead of a Y chromosome.

They are awful. It seems like they are in damage control now, maybe. I ignored it when it was Pride Counselling (a subsidiary/sister of BH) because maybe they have something different going on. But I have seen some awful stories when it comes to BH, including people who asked for an LGBTQ+ friendly counsellors and then ended up with a raging homophobe/transphobe.

Simultaneous hermaphrodites would be translated into culture as the intersex experience i suppose. Although we're talking about functional possible autofecuntation very fertile organisms. A lot of animals can transition as sequential hermaphrodites... some fishes, some frogs, some jellyfishes, flatworms, earth worms, sponges, some water arthropods, there could be more, who knows!? Ok! The whole alien abduction thing reminded me of an episode of an anime I watched YEARS ago. It had an alien princess of an all female species going to earth to find her perfect match and she does with a Trans Man... which her species helped him transition with gene therapy. Took me forever to go down the rabbit hole to find what the hell the anime was called, it was "Level E" and it was basically a bunch of short stories about aliens living on earth and what they do when they're there, kinda like MiB. the long hair one reminded me a lot of my family, I always wanted to grow my hair out but I was never allowed to, my mom would make me sit in chair and use buzzer to buzz it off. But every time she was trying to get me to just sit down and cooperate one of her go to statements would be you don't want to look like a girl do you. It was so hard sometimes not to slip up and say yes that's the point mom, to my deeply religious mom. Like I knew it wouldn't go well, and I was very likely right since I found out after leaving for university of someone from my same church who was guided into conversion therapy by our pastor and I am sure my parents would choose to follow pastors guidance also. So I avoided that but staying closeted and hidden while hearing the anti-lgbt (or basically anti- me) stuff a lot still did a number on my mental health.

I had my first accidental ally! (FTM -- non-binary) (Haven't started hormones yet but hopefully soon!) I'm careful when I'm at my doctor appointments at the VA Medical Hospitals cause of all the variety of Veterans there (There are a lot of hateful ones unfortunately...Trump cultists and the like). Anyways, I was waiting for the doctor that wanted to double check a procedure I just got done. So I was in the waiting room with my husband and this guy that just got done explaining to a nurse why he didn't want to get a flu-shot (yup, anti-vaxer as well) then he sits down and turns to us. "You two look the same! Are you brothers? I bet you get that a lot." Firstly and most importantly, we look nothing a like. Secondly I've always fallen under the 'well no idea what gender you are so....' (fricken thankfully) but I can pass a bit more male leaning -- like I prefer -- with voice training and people not using my old first name. Knowing they are *that* type of person we just politely say no, not related but don't elaborate since we'd feel unsafe and don't like conflict. He chitters on -- thankfully just about traffic -- and we just nod politely until they busy themselves with something else. But WOO!! I PASSED!! Bahahaha
