Dear Viktoria ! Some tips for swimming (especially in cold water) : 1. Use latex sea fins (mine are 21 inches long) ; 2. If you have a leg cramp , quickly turn over onto your back ; 3. Give your lifebuoy on a rope to the children ; 4. After swimming , drink cider (apple wine) - it eliminates goose bumps and colds . Use my tips and always be healthy !

Congratulations on the achievement, but did you have to use the breast stroke? I would think that free style would have been quicker. You look tired afterwards. I know that I would be. In my youth I swam the mile swim in Boy Scouts once or twice.
