Star Wars The Acolyte reviews may have pretended The Acolyte was the best ever Star Wars, but they couldn't convince the audience. Since then The Rolling Stone decided their best tactic was a long rant that seems to just gaslight and fabricate arguments out of thin air. But interestingly by the end, you get the idea that they simply cannot understand what the audience thinks. Because they judge the quality on the categories of the actors, they can only assume the audience judges the show negatively off the same criteria. It would be pitiful, if the attitude wasn't so repulsive. But what did you think of the article? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

Talent and skill doesn't enter into it, other than by pure coincidence, and isn't rewarded much anyway, so not worth much in the way of investment. That time and effort is much better spent schmoozing with the "right people" who can feed you "leaks" and "scoops" created by the PR departments of the big conglomerates, and get you invites to exclusive pre-screenings etc, as long as you play along and contribute to the hype. Or have you never wondered why early reviews are always way, waaay more positive and friendly, than the ones where the reviewers had to spend their own money to go see it in the theaters with the plebs?

The moment that supposed “diss track” got released it was over. I can’t imagine anywhere else that someone can openly attack the audience or consumer of a product and expect it to turn out well. Even if the show was actually amazing (it is decidedly not amazing) it would suffer dearly for that action, which is so misguided it’s like as if it someone threw a baseball at a football game. To think that was a good idea, or that it would even get on the radar of the supposed “toxic” fans it was aimed at, is just insanity. None of those older Star Wars fans are or were following Amandla Stenburg, they didn’t know who she was, and I guarantee most of them still don’t know. All she ever did with that move was career suicide. It’s like that story about Gerald Ratner of Ratner’s jewelry who called his product “cheap crap” that he was shocked people even bought. This was in 1992 when he was asked about how they had been able to make such a successful company at some form of conference or news junket, and then suddenly the 300 or more stores in the UK and US were going out of business as both customers and vendors abandoned ship. How is any of this a surprise? Or in any way tragic? Make a bad show, get a bad reaction, no one sees it, leads to cancellation. It’s not rocket science. And it certainly is nothing a magazine that used to be about music should be analyzing the philosophical outcome of.

The more appropriate wording is "The customer is always right in matters of what sells." Look at how many vote for Trump (an objective disaster). Look at how many prefer Justin Bieber to Johan Sebastian Bach. Look how many watch reality shows rather than something with cognitive nutritional value. In other words, mass appeal is more often than not based on poor taste rather than good taste. The statement you quote still holds, as long as one does not assume that "taste" == "good taste". FWIW, I think the Acoshyte is the height of amateur hour in terms of writing (which is not to say that everything else is great, but predominately the writing is abysmally bad).

The last 4 or 5 minutes of this video were poetry and so on point. Modern media, creative arts and even many sports have now been boiled down to superficial criteria such as colour of skin, sexuality or gender, rather than deeper more complex themes that were used to produce masterpieces and moments of brilliance. And then, the simpletons can't grasp that the majority of people want well written, coherent, thought provoking art, not ham-fisted, painfully dull and stupid, propagandized sludge. The viewers must be toxic and didn't watch because of race, sexuality etc - because they are the only terms or concepts they can grasp. Culturally, we are in a morose hellscape created by Tumblr users and narcissistic performative "activists", where all the brilliant authors and creators have had their amazing works co-opted and flagellated on the altar of the "progressive" idiocratic cult.

But then again we shouldn't be surprised that the Acolyte Shills are loosing their minds over the cancelation of their beloved tv show. If it wasn't so pathetic it would be sad. Kinda. Okay not really. 🤷🏻♀ Hearing Tennant say that to that idiot on the red carpet, for me it would be a very easy decision, to make if I happened to have a Film Studio. Blacklist him.
