Its not amazing like Andor is but its not Book of Boba Fett mediocre either ( and I thought Boba Fett and Obi Wan were certainly watchable , not terrible like Batgirl was ) The dialogue is certainly clunky at times - " Cant belive Osha is Jedi scum " the pacing is certainly an issue and the 30 minute runtime is most definitely an issue we should get at least 45 , 50 mins , but as ep4 showed as soon as it gets good it ends . Personally I think the Masters identity of being Qmir is a big misdirect , a lot points to it but I really hope they will not be that unimaginative, Personally I hope they will stumble across Qmir's body and the master will be revealed to be one of the twins Mothers but we shall see . I don't hate this show but it could definitely be a lot better I am in till the end , I just hope that they fix some of the issues , So far I would rank it below Andor ,Mando, Ahsoka ,but above Obi Wan and Boba Fett .

Say what you will about the show but they nailed the build up to The Master. Mae finds Kelnacca dead as night falls. Sol senses something and they see something floating to the ground. The Master slowly approaches them and without saying a word. Osha is scared as The Master stands inches from Osha. He ignites the saber, briefly tricking the audience that he killed her, then throws Osha with the force by barely moving his hand. The Jedi charge and pushes all the Jedi back. Perfect introduction. The Sith or whatever he is was genuinely creepy and great cliffhanger.

I love this show!. I think is doing exactly what it's supposed to do, keep people guessing. Like the showrunner said, once you think you know what's happening, you don't. People's mixed feelings from show to show. I believe it's kind of intentional. To me watching this show is like the movie Sixth Sense you have to watch the complete movie before you get it. Just think if people turned off The Sixth Sense in the first 45 minutes you wouldn't get what the movie was about. Same thing with movies like The Others. To me this show is not necessarily a who done it, but why they did it.

Personally this episode might be my favorite so far! I’m a bit worried that maybe Jecki or Yord might get killed next episode, it would probably be Jecki and I’m not looking forward to it. LOVED that ending!

I really liked the slow burn of this episode a lot. The build to that Smilo ren reveal was awesome, I thought. I couldn’t help but hear an Australian voice whisper “clever girl…” in my ear when the master descended behind Osha 😅🤣❤️

The master is the twins' mother. I first thought it was the aggressive one who carried them (sorry, I can't remember names) but after this episode I'm convinced it is the leader mother. Look at the way she pushed all those Jedi...remember the lesson she gave the twins? Just saying....

I am interested in the pattern we saw in the wookies home. One had the yin Yang we saw on the mother's head. The second in the centre didn't have that. I think that is the circle on Maes head. I don't think she had the yin Yang in the centre. The jedi philosophy was all about balance. I still think that chap was Quim. Whether he is the big bad not sure.

Remember that Mae was 8, very powerful, and losing a sister to whom she is very attached. An 8 year old might not really understand the consequence of death; so I am willing to cut little Mae some slack until I know more.

I don't think Mae was trying to kill Osha. I believe the "I'll kill you" was an empty threat by a kid trying to scare another kid into doing what they said; the fire spreading (beyond burning the book with the Jedi drawing) was accidental. We could even see Mae run for help (when it spreads) in a future flashback.

If my hypothesis is correct I do believe that the High Council ordered their own Order 66 on potential threats. Witches. The Sith are getting a back story that they deserve with justification here and I’m thinking it’s much more layered than meets the eyes. This could be a connective thread between Bane, Plagueis, Palpatine in Sith rules of two.

10:35 Didn't Mae just solve her own problem? How do you kill someone without using a weapon, is what she asked Qimir. The answer is manipulation; get someone else to do it for you. Mae alluded to things going badly for both of them if their master found out that Qimir helped her kill Master Torbin. How would things go for Torbin if he went back to his master and explained that Mae dipped? It is in Qimir's best interest to kill Kelnacca and stop Mae before she makes things very bad for both of them real quick. I think Mae meant what she said, as her motivations were driven under the assumption that Osha was dead and that the Jedi were responsible. Osha learned that the Jedi were truthful and that her sister was indeed alive last episode. Her world was turned on its head, everything she believed to be true was a lie. Either way, Kelnacca is dead because of her actions. She killed a Jedi without using a weapon =O

Yeah, at this point I'd be shocked if the guy helping Mae isn't the master. I figured that was the case two episodes ago but now it just seems obvious. It feels like a clumsy way of trying to "rhyme" with Yoda playing the part of a crazy old hermit. I also agree with the points you made about Ki-Adi-Mundi. They need to hard commit to this guy not being a Sith, or at least the Jedi refusing to ever believe he's a Sith. Otherwise Ki-Adi's line about the Sith being extinct for a millennia in Ep I suddenly has huge implications for his character. Though it wouldn't surprise me if the Acolyte writers just forgot about that. The "Oh fuck off" at the end was perfect lol. Finally something interesting almost happens and they cut to credits... If they wanted to build interest and suspense for a cliffhanger, they should have had the fight and left the conclusion a mystery.

I think the Jedi found out how the twins were created (which sounds suspiciously similar to how Darth Plagueis could apparently "influence the midichlorians to create life") and kept Mae out of the official record to hopefully prevent that information from getting into the wrong hands. Unfortunately I think the Sith Master already knows that info and that's why they're so obsessed with the twins. They may have been pulling the strings the whole time to get their hands on the girls, even back during the time of the coven. Also, given Sol's reactions to Osha in this ep and the last, I'm starting think Osha might have been reaponsible for the fire (even if accidentally) and he wiped her memory to protect her

😊 hello Omni I hope everything is well. I hope all the kitties are doing fine. I know you’ve covered the animated shows for Star Wars and I was curious because of the way these show is laid out. Are the animated shows structured as true episodic episodes like each one is, a story in itself and then you have the final results at the end? Reason why I ask is because episode four does not feel like an enclosed story episode. So now I’m wondering if when they were putting together this season if they had this one big story structure and then deciding where to split the Episodes. Like in other words up to now and these four episodes, I don’t feel like I could watch each of these episodes alone by itself. I feel like if I watch episode three I have to watch another episode in order to follow what’s going on which I mean if this is just a one shot season and that’s it I can understand, but it kind of makes it not necessary that I have to watch all eight episodes, and if that’s the case, I might as well binge it. For example, invincible I can watch an episode of invincible out of order and it doesn’t affect me that I have to watch episodes in order to understand what’s happening that one episode at that moment.

I wonder if the next episode is called "Night" considering this is "Day", and we saw the sun go down at the end of this episode. If so, it may be that the intention is to watch the two episodes together so this is the build-up and the next one has the fight scene payoff. Interesting that the names for the first two episodes both have two parts but the last two haven't had that.

Seriously, in Osha's point of view Mae is pure evil. While we see that's not true. In Episode 1, Mae could have killed the father in the canteen but chose not to when she saw he had a child.

This marks the first episode where I thought the dialogue could use more care. It felt stilted with no natural flow and the actors appeared to have difficulty with the material. That has legitimately been my only quibble because I have been enjoying the show.

i enjoyed the episode, i suspect that Osha is way more intune to the dark side then Mae. ive discussed it a bit with a few reactors but im really interested to see if the interest shown is because she is unable to let go of her emotions. where as Mae was like "my sister is alive... fuck this guys plans, i only cared about her" also it tells us a lot that he wanted them dead not for her, but for whatever his own plan is. What did these 4 Jedi see or do that makes this dark sider so hell bent on killing them. i know some think its their mother, but i think we are looking at someone who wants a specific set of targets dead for his own reasons.

They 100% kept it from the council even after others most likely died to the sith and that is why they continue to say they have been extinct for a long long time just so they wouldn't have to deal with political conflict. A mistake that causes the jedi to go extinct over a hundred years later.

That ending was really good, and the tension was built up well. The rest of the episode was pretty mid tho. I’m still not a huge fan of a lot of the characters so I’m definitely feeling a disconnect. Hopefully the next episode has a solid action sequence at least!!

Waiting until I've seen the whole season before judging its overall impact, but this ep was the weakest so far for me. A journey ep, a premature death of another much-hyped character, and a "cliffhanger" that's already been partially shown in the trailer. I'm hoping the remaining eps reflect the budget and deliver on the potential that's in here somewhere, but I'm usually more invested by now.

I agree with last week (ep3) being stronger. Not just for the lore stuff, but that it can so easily be re-told from either Mae or Sol's perspective. That being said, I still dug this one. Yord is growing on me as an early Kenobi type that didn't have the Clone Wars to fully shape him.

One theory I’ve read is the master is Indara. She faked her death because she wanted the Witches ability to create life. She needs Mae because she’s special. She’s also shown to be the best Force user of the four Jedi. And it would explain why she needs to kill the other three Jedi that went to the planet with her, because they would most be able to recognize it’s her behind the mask. Qimir is actually her apprentice and not Mae. She’s just using Mae to be the scapegoat as well as to try to unlock the secrets of her creation.

I really believe that it was OSHA that started the fire and not May and that's what Master Soul was going to tell her because I believe he used a Jedi mind trick on her to erase her memory and implant false memories, to ease her trauma also there is a clip in the trailer where The Wookie Jedi is leaping towards Master Tobin with his lightsaber ignited and raised above him about to strike him so I'm going to say that the witches possessed them and made the Jedi fight among themselves at least those two! And then all hell broke loose but I believe that the witches would not let OSHA join the Jedi and that's why she set the fire. Remember May said what did you do. I just hope that the next episode they actually have the lightsaber battle because there are a bunch of red shirts in the form of those Jedi we've never seen before they're all going to bite the dust cuz they're cannon fodder. Leslie says episode 5 is her favorite episode. I also saw a clip with the green lady with her whip lightsaber ignited and she wouldn't have lit it up unless there was a battle or some kind of Confrontation and I do believe it was in the forest it definitely was outside.
