My buddy just gave me a good idea as to what he thinks they could be going for. He thinks that the story of this show is going to be similar to how Fives tried to warn the clones and Jedi about what was coming with the chips in their heads but since Fives died he couldn’t do it. My buddy thinks it’ll be similar here with the Jedi, figuring out the mystery of the Sith coming back and they all die when trying to get the word back.👀

It seems she understands lore and the ways of the Jedi. Given this is also a time period that hasn’t really gotten any exploration she has free range on some things.

The opening lines are very emblematic in some ways. "Close your eyes. Your eyes can deceive you. We must not trust them." The Jedi Order believed they were so in tune to the Force that they ignored what was right in front of their eyes. How long had they done so?

But it's true, your eyes CAN deceive you. Palpatine is a perfect example, presenting himself as a kind, noble leader who is doing his best to temper the more extreme views of the Senate. But it was all a façade.

@andrewjenkins9965 What you said made me think of how the Jedi could get lost focusing on other things (...elsewhere, elusive) at the expense of the moment right in front of their eyes. It's something that I think speaks metaphorically to their blind spots that would prevent them from seeing the Sith had not only returned but had never truly been gone. (It's something I think Yoda internalized after the fall of the Order. In ESB and TLJ, Yoda admonishes Luke to keep his focus here, now. To stop looking away to the horizon. But, I digress). I was originally struck by the opening lines of the trailer because of the poetic way it mirrors the Order. Telling Younglings, the future generation, to close their eyes, to not trust them. There's a certain arrogance in believing you only need your feelings, your intuitions, to know truth. By the time of the prequels, the Jedi had come to believe the Sith could not have returned without them knowing. That the Jedi would be aware if the Senate was being controlled by a Sith. That an item didn't exist if it weren't in their records. I think it's good Jedi wisdom to not ONLY trust your eyes. But that doesn't mean that you should completely ignore what they're seeing either. I feel like they started to allow bad habits to form out of good intentioned wisdom. Your eyes can deceive you. Maybe your feelings can, too. It's one of the ways that I think Palpatine used the very ways and nature of the Order against themselves.

Darth Tenebrous is alive and Plagueis would've been just born at this time in Legends. I would be shocked if Tenebrous doesn't show up by the very end. Would be a less intrusive way to link the story back into the main saga. EU fans would go nuts and casual viewers would just get to see a cool new sith.

The possibility of the Sith returning at the height of the Jedi lead peacetime is a serious & scary accusation. The Jedi would be wise to use a third party to help them in their investigation such as friendly Republic Senator, *Hego Damask.*

I'm glad we're seeing more Jedi martial arts! I love the idea of unarmed Jedi combat. It just makes sense for Jedi to have a non-lethal combat skill, since killing shouldn't be their first resort. Lightsabers are great against blasters or energy staffs/batons, but a Jedi pulling a lightsaber against someone who is armed to a lesser extent... that's pretty aggressive for the Jedi, especially Jedi in peace time.

I cannot wait. Its gonna be so interesting to see how it all unfolds. I mean the Sith were all but extinct at this time. If there is one thing that the Jedi always underestimated about the Dark Side is the art of deception. The mastery of the Force Cloak and Mirage abilities which allowed for the rise of the Sith in plain sight when the Light Side was so overwhelmingly powerful. It seems to me The Acolyte has a vendetta against the Jedi Order and isnt necessarily motivated by overthrowing it. At least not yet. The Acolyte has to be just a rogue Dark Jedi who is not fully yet aware that the the true Sith still exist. That will probably be a major cliffhanger for the finale.

Probably the first Sith lord that the Jedi Knights are going to battle. It's going to be 47 Ronin with Jedi Knights. I feel Carrie Ann-Moss' character could be a Sith Lord or one of the sith Lords.
