Actually, if she shot him, I don't think older Adam would have died, nor 2022 Adam. Why, because that was 2022 Adam and they were in 2018, meaning 2018 Adam was still alive and safe. Unless I'm wrong.

Are you talking about when she was threatening to shoot 12yo Adam in the head at the facility? Had she done it 12 yo Adam would die but 8yo Adam would live until 2022 even though 12yo Adam died in 2018 but 2050 Adam would never exist. However since 2022 Adam died there would be no 2050 Adam to go back to 2022 and drag 12 yo Adam into the situation and thus would never die thus 2050 Adam would exist...ok my brain is scrambled!! 🤪

No that's not how it works. Adam's 8 year old self would live, yes, but he'd still die as a 12 year old and thus his 40 year old self would be erased.

Can I point out the plot of this movie is a loop they stopped the dad from creating time travel but for maya to to have altered time in the first place the original time line would have had to create time travel any way and since that is the timeline they restored means that she would eventually change time again only for them to reset it over and over
