Addams Family Values is definitely one of those cases of the sequel surpassing the original. I still like the first one, but I love the second one.

In the begining of the video you asked if your attention span has just evaporated over time.... then you literally had to look up the plot of a movie that was less than 5 mins in. You just got your answer -- YES, it has. I know it's hard to understand as a youngin who's so used to Marvel movies just dumping exposition on you but real stories and plot take time to develop and unfold.

The Addams Family started as a weird, macabre, sort of evil family comic strip in the 1930s-1950s New Yorker Magazine. It became a comedic TV show in 1964 with the "evil" taken out. That show focused on the parent's antics, but the kids got their moments. From 1970s thru the 1990s there were cartoons and live sequels/specials not nearly as popular as the original. All the movies, live and animated, and the Wednesday show are very good to awesome.

It started as a Cartoon, then became a 60's Comedy Series followed by the Movies Decades Later. A few years ago they made a couple of animated movies (With Charlize Theron as Mortician and Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday).. Then Along Came Jenna Ortega... Everyone wants a Romance as deep as Gomez and Morticia. TRIVIA: "Gomez" from the TV Series (John Astin) was the Father of Sean Astin.

Saw this movie in the theaters when I was 7 and Christina Ricci has been my favorite actor ever since, she's the best.. and the sequel (Addams Family Values) is much better than this one, almost everyone would agree.. don't sleep on the sequel you will 100% love it!

The sequel (Addams family values) is far superior to this movie and the plot does in fact drive all of the movie- including the b plot. Definitely one to watch in November.

Gomez and Morticia are couple goals. They *are* great parents. Not controversial at all. Addams Family Values is even better. The animated one is ok too. Don't watch Addams Family Reunion. Despite having Tim Curry playing Gomez the movie isn't that great. I grew up on the b&w Addams Family tv show so I already knew the family dynamics before the movies came out.

The 1960s version wasn't a movie. It was a series. Btw, Uncle Fester is the same actor who plays "Doc" in "Back to the Future" and Wednesday is played by a (very) young Christina Ricci. "1408" is a Stephen King adaptation of one of his _many_ short stories. It stars John Cusack & Samuel L. Jackson. It's a mind f**k. Very good. "Cujo" is another Stephen King adaptation, this time, of one of his _novels_ . "Big Driver" and "A Good Marriage" are 2 more Stephen King short stories made into movies. As you may have guessed, I'm a SK fan. I have all his books. 📖📖📖📖📖📖

The 1st Addams Family was a 30 min. sitcom in B/W. in 1965! The hairy man was called cousin it. Wednesday danced to a record trying to teach Lurch how to dance-very funny!! I luv ur channel-Hello from North Carolina!

I remember the 60s TV show, but it was on when my other shows were showing. I did watch The Munsters more often at the time. (60s Musters movie is okay, but forget about more recent projects). Addams Family Values has the iconic Thanksgiving scene. Love that. Sequel is great. Do watch.
