japanese people were very ahead of their time when it comes to gaming in the west most people born before 1970 can't tell the difference between a game boy and a PlayStation. i have even seen some people born in the 80s that do this despite growing up when video games existed and being only 10 years older than me

For anyone wishing there were quiz games in this style and in english... there are! Well, 1 anyway. An arcade game called Quiz and Dragons. Youll need to use mame or emulate the Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2. Hope you know lots of 80`s USA centric baseball and TV/movie trivia. Unless you go into the extras section of the PS2 collection and play the new version exclusive to that port, which changes everything to be about capcom games.

These scenarios are hilariously wacky in all the right ways. I like all the different endings too. This feels like it puts Jackbox's trivia games to shame, and I wouldn't mind seeing someone take a modern day crack at it. Similarly wacky scenarios, maybe with more general trivia instead of references that'll become dated in a couple years.

@BasementBrothers5 ай бұрын
Maybe you could say that. "Tagosaku" is actually a type of pants that rice farmers wear. I think the main idea is that calling someone "Tagosaku" means they are old fashioned and uncool. The nickname seems to have fallen out of use though nowadays so I wouldn't go throwing this term around to Japanese people and expect them to know what you're talking about. :)

So I'm curious, does this channel have a regular schedule or is it just "whenever I feel like it?" It felt like for awhile an episode was every Sunday but sometimes you miss that. Also, is there a system in place for when you'll do a Neo-Geo vs a PC game, or is it--once again--just "whatever I feel like doing?" I dunno if I'm in the minority but I actually prefer the Japanese PC stuff over the Neo-Geo stuff. Mostly because I find RPGs and adventure games more interesting and I love the plot summaries... though I hope Neo-Geo will get more of those too (one reason I got into King of Fighters was that it was actually kinda story-heavy by fighting game standards).
@BasementBrothers5 ай бұрын
Edmond this is a shared channel. My brother makes Neo Geo videos when he is able to, and generally I am the one who has more time on my hands to make videos these days. We help each other out as needed, but for the most part each of these video series are a one-man operation. Each of my videos take anywhere between 2-4 weeks to produce depending on the game, so the release schedule can become very irregular. There was a period last month when we happened to have three short videos ready to release in rapid succession, but generally a new video every other week is the very fastest rate we are able to work at here. So I appreciate your understanding. - Mr. Jakes
