Daniel is a wonderful storyteller. His voice is pure fluidity.

6:16 -- "But we didn't care, we had the time of our lives" -- somehow that phrase reminds me of 15 years I spent playing music in local bands. The feeling that I miss the most is best described by that phrase. Thank you, Daniel, for reminding me of the best times that live music brought to me. Also, great story! :)))

after a bit of research - sounds like Rhodes opened for Aerosmith in 2007. if that's the case, it looks like the opening tune for that show was Love in an Elevator, which makes that story even better!

DCI Semi-Finals night playing in Lucus Oil Stadium and playing the Whiskey a Go-Go are my two "feel like a god" moments, its a fucking glorious feeling, but I'd argue even better than the power is when your group is so tight that you pull off a crisp perfect cut off and the silence is deafening, right before the screaming, cheers, and, applause, crash onto stage like the break of a wave. It happens in all the right ways, bittersweet quintessence; you realize you can, and will never experience "this" singular moment again in your life, and if you take a second to apricate the gravity as it unfolds, you realize the feeling of being infinite.

Honey malt is a a German barley that is lightly toasted. You can look it up as "Gambrinus Honey Malt". It is regularly used as specialty/flavoring malt in several beer styles.

Honey malt isn't a barley strain. It is regular barley grain (could be a variety of different strains) that is malted using a specific malting process that gives it a honey type flavor. It's used a lot in the craft beer world.

I love Aerosmith's early stuff. Up through Night In the Ruts (which is more consistent than anything which preceded it) they produced some fantastic music. But the band was never the same after Joe Perry left.

Very cool story!! I’m a big Aerosmith fan as well. I just toured Rabbit Hole Distillery two weeks ago. I liked all their offerings. Really liked their Deringer. It’s a bourbon finished in px sherry casks.
